    Ethics of using Poser

    Hey guys,
I wanted to ask about the ethics of using a model made by someone else for a digital painting. If I build on that model with the use of zbrush, and then take that model, pose it, and then do a painting on top of it, I would still have to put somewhere that the model was made by so-an-so (DAZ3d's michael 4 and victoria 4, for example), right?

id do it. imo it shows that youre confident with your alterations... that they can stand on their own design-wise, compared to the original base model. if they cant, youre in trouble anyway.

    looks like a nothing-to-lose-scenario to me .

No, you don't. If you were describing your process, of course, but to simply display the pic? No. Especially in the case of Poser/Daz/related content, where purchasing the content automatically gives you the right to use it for derivative works.
