Wicked stuff here! Really dig the fact that you're practicing your ID drawings the traditional. Something I should do more often.

A few crits would be: sometimes your design have a slight wonkiness to them, which I think give them character but takes away from them feeling stable. Watch the outlines, they can be a bit thick sometimes. However, taken as a whole drawing, it reads like it should but I think scaling down your lines overall would help the drawings look more pro.

Overall, nice work and cool designs!

Really cool sketchbook! I particurarly like your vehicle designs and some of those mech designs were really cool too. Would love to see you take some of them further. Also have to give you props for doing perspective studies. I should do much more of them, but I find it like reeeaaally boring. So yeah great stuff and keep up the good work

Holy shit, sick update dude. Those gun marker sketches are crazy. The humvee is awesome, but very distorted. I've found it really useful recently to make sure I set things up in a proper cone of vision to avoid distortion. It seems to make it easier to get a feel for drawing in perspective, maybe because things behave more consistently.

Yeah, SBPRo is great for symmetry, so I'm having a lot of fun just busting out quick sketches and designs. Feels good to be creative for a change, ha. You're gettin' a lot of love from everyone here, Joe, and there's good reason for it. Keep kicking ass!

herionz hahah thanks man! Yea getting use to drawing without VPs and a horizon line just takes time. Practicing Scott Roberston's warm up stuff on his first Dvd got me to get somewhat okay at it. I usually never use vps and horizon lines unless i get to bigger scale stuff like buildings and what not. Thanks for stopping by!!!

SpectreX Thanks alot for the kind words!!!! And yes please do keep coming by!! Ill leave some comments in your sketchbook in return!!

GrayPersona Thank you so much for that tip!!! It worked like a charm!! I found so many blueprints now hahah i typed Tank Blueprint for one and got so much good stuff Thanks!!

SaurabhinatorYes!!! PLease do keep working on yours cause im learning alot looking at your perspective studies

Mr.Pryminista Thanks alot for stopping by! YOur sketchbook is awesome!!!! Thanks for the advice!! IM going to tyr and start trying out some other line weight stuff

Papu Thanks!! Hopefully soon i can start to get a feel for designing my own vechicles and taking them into photoshop and doing a really cool version of them

Jaik Hey thanks!! Its a Canson Earthbound Sketchbook. I got mine from a barns and nobles lol i about to order some of these Strathmore Tan and gray paper sketchbook. Only sucky part is they only have 50 pages but if i fill 50 pages i should feel proud so worth buying i suppose

Kvetch Yea i was trying to distort the humvee on purpose to get a feel that you are really close to it. So i made the vertical line converge more to create a worms eye 3 point perspective on it. But i really do need to learn this "cone of vision" stuff. I keep hearing about it but never take the time to study it hahahahahah Thanks alot for the comment and stopping by! Ill be by your sketchbook now

MrFrenikWhats up man!!!! Thanks for the constant support!!! Yea I love this sketchbook stuff!!! Im going to hop on sketchbook pro soon.

ecki Thanks man!!!! Glad you came by again!!!!

    Update!!!

    Small one anyways hahaha

Have some concept art i been doing but cant show it sadly Its proving useful even though im not the best which is great. Getting alot of Postive support from the other guys in the group making the game

Here are some warm ups and Speedboats!!! Also, some sketches inside photoshop

Stunning work man ! Extremely precise and clean. The first impression i get after seeing some of your work is that it's made by a professional artist. The perspective couldn't be more correct. Those lines following the form/surface of the object are very good and remind me of Feng Zhu in a way. I would really like to know what is the white thingie that you've used in many of your sketches to indicate light ^^. And one more thing besides everything, that i like in your sketchbook is the range objects that you've studied. Lamps, vehicles, buildings oh and the church was amazing ! I really wish i could do such awesome stuff from imagination.
I think i will have to agree with GreyPersona that you should do some organic stuff. Like people for example. And environments !

Great stuff, man; you're making me have to step up my game for sure. I'll post some more stuff tonight. I also am totally down with having a dedicated study thread/group whatever for us to keep focused on certain things, and I certainly would like help for any perspective threads that I start in here. Let's get something going!

solid 3d constructions earlier this page! About the gas masks, that zipper thing I would not wear it - nor the bag-leading-to-filter
but then again, they look interesting and not the same old thing, which probably was the goal ; )

Man, good start on the "Gasman Gear" so far (man, can't wait till I'm done with TAD so I can get into those myself!). Looks like you're doing the necessary research to bring your concept to life. I think you can push the research more. Some more masks, vests, gloves, etc... Another round of thumbs would be useful and push the design more, push what you've absorbed from your studies.

    Rock on man!!!

Yessss your sketchbook has an old-school feel that I really like.
    I definitely agree.

Your line quality has def improved. I would recommend you do some more still lives. I know they aren't always fun but they can really help you understand how to paint the basic forms. Definitely keep up the hard work.
