Cool shit, brosef. I'm envious of how you break the larger forms down into such cool divisions, with all your part lines and components and whatnot. I'm definitely trying to work on this more in my own perspective drawings. Keep up the awesome work!

Leaps and bounds, my good man. These perspective studies are sick beyond words.

Awesome bikes, man, and of course you can design something like that, probably much better since you've been doing so much good studies of vehicles and machinery. I need to sit down and actually learn the mechanics behind how things work so that I can design with function in mind. It's funny too, after I have a few moments of feeling like I've done good work, I look at something like James Hawkins' designs and just feel like I suck at everything in life. Ha, but it pushes me more so I guess that's a good thing, right? Keep up the badassery, and let's continue to learn off each other!
zalxemptyxThanks alot for stopping by! YOu have some awesome art and music!!!!
MrFrenik Thanks for the comment man!! Yea i definatley am picking up alot of ideas from you from your sketchbook! I guess my problem is i get scared of trying to deisgn stuff like that and back out or fail lol Im going to tyr and push it to the next level!
Update!
Took the photo studies i did on bikes and then just made up a bunch of designs! Nothing too orginal, just having fun and seeing what all i learnt
These are done with High Tec C's, Prismacolor markers, and a pilot drawing pen which im in love with nowits a size 08

Dem cycles! Lookin good man, so jelly of your hard surface stuff! Only crit is that you dont have any foot or toe pegs.. or none that I can see, would be rather uncomfortable lol, I know its just a tiny detail but it adds a level of realism to the piece. Keep pushing man, you are really getting there!

If you have the time please show me some love and +watch or come by and check out my progress and crit me!
Damn, those bikes are sick. I love the fourth one with the completely faired in front wheel, would be right at home in akira. I'm very jealous of the way you handle these iterative designs... Are you studying industrial design?
Wow man! Very inspirational sketchbook here!
5* for this!
I really dig your designs and perspective studies – those bikes are SICK!
Not crits from me, just keep doing what you do there!
Hey Joe777k7! Thanks for stepping at my sketchbook. By the way, what do you eat for breakfast dude!? So brilliant designs! Hell if I could have a 10th of the imagination you have, certainly I would be more confident in myself. Only thing I can think about that might help you is that you play a little bit more with the contours, changing the line weight at some points for getting a better 3D effect or guiding the view, but you probably already know that . Cheers and keep them coming man! Amazing job.
oh lord motorcycles... i- i admit to having a thing for mechanical designhot. damn.
looking forward to more of those lines!
Cool motorcycle!
Wow thank you so much everybody for the support! The next time i update i will comment back and come by all your sketchbooks! I really feel like i don't deserve all these nice comments as of late but thank you so much. I just have been struggling so much, im now tyring to draw all these motorcycle desgins in the 3/4th view and working on concepts for the video game im working on. Im epic failing one after another and its really beating me up but i feel im getting better and better and more understanding of my weakness. I am my most harsh critic at times and it causes me to sometimes not draw at all hahaha Again, thank you so much everybody!
You call that an update?! We want pictures, not excuses![]()
That's some impressive stuff, man! How do you get such accurate line drawings? Like with the motorcycles. I feel like I have to draw a line ten times before it hits the spot. And by that time it's already a mess. Maybe I'm just too hasty or something.![]()
alot of good stuff going on here, got to visit this sb more often!
Joe, there are a lot of people here who want more from you. Stop pissing them off.![]()
The struggle will make your victory even more satisfying! But something else that may help you is buying some of that cheap nvr dry clay and modeling a little cycle Maquette even a simple one can help you tons, especially when you have to turn things around.

Spudonkey Me too!!!!![]()
GrayPersonaThanks for coming by and stay tuned!!
JaikThat was some good advice man, i was even thinking of a place for their feet hahahahah Thanks alot man, yea in design i guess we must always try to think about function when drawing
Kvetchlol Thanks alot for your comments!! It really pushed me to work harder and have no excuses hahahahah means alot to me! Thanks for your support!
eckiThank you so much for the rating! Means alot! Ill keep pushing things!!
herionzI try to eat eggs alot but only if its organic and not caged! As well as not use milk cause Dairy is a no no hahahah and some vegetables, nuts, and sometimes fruit! You got alot going in your sketchbook and works as well. Just keep pushing it!! If you fail, dont stop!!! Keep failing! Failing means your getting better! Took me a while to learn that hahahah Thanks for stopping by!!!
AngeUnge Thanks alot for stopping by!!!
n1fritThanks!!!
LeaderOfZombies The trick i learned is to constantly use the techniques like matching two dots up with one line and just drawing grids and boxes helps alot. Also, using pen only is great for this type of penmenship, relying on crtl-z can hurt you in the long run. Sometimes drawing in photoshop can give you too much freedom as well as using pencil too. These things are indeed fine and i use them as well. But while doing training studies, try using only pen!!
Thanks!
kevin_Thanks!!! Ill try to keep updating it all the time!!![]()
Wingal Thanks alot for stopping by!!! Yea i imagine using clay would indeed help, i need to try that soon. I noticed using some free 3d models from google sketchup helps alot when tyring to see how designs and objects look from all angles!! Thanks!!!!
Update!!!
Decided to give tyring to draw those motorcycles a break for now. Going to work my way up to them. Thanks for all the support! It really means alot as i go through this self teaching stuff hahahah

man you got some good vehicle work! i like the perspective work, i find perspective to be difficult when i do vehicle designs :b also the markers look great, i want to try now!
You do such a great job with the orthos for your perspective drawing, Joe. I haven't found anyone else on this site who implements this as well, and it's a shame because this is really the most convenient way to plan out a design once you understand it as well as you do. And the great thing is that you have such a good balance between creative work and observational studies, something that I definitely need to get better at doing. Keep it up and I can't wait for another big dump like this one was. Hehe.
kevin_ Thanks alot for stoppinb by again man and for the add of facebook!! Yea drawing objects in perspetcive can be tricky but its my main focus right nowIf you ever need some help let me know. I usually go on skype so we could talk there
MrFrenik Yea ill see a few people do it but most people are focused on painting and compostion, or anatomy. I actually already know all the muscles and bones I just dont ever draw ogranic stuff. Im just insane about perspetcive right now hahahahah
Quick Update!!
This was fun to do, not the best in quality but i learned alot, going to do a bunch more. Taking real Things from life and drawing them in perspective in the 3/4th viewDon't hate on my freehand ellipses hahahahahOh and the side, front, back view is a model i downloaded in google sketchup and made it into a graph for me. I could of drew it myself but that would of took forever. My focus is 3/4th view
Feel free to take this and try to draw it yourself
.

Damn it! So much win in your designs and exercises! Seriously what type of eggs and nuts do you eat!? Those are incredible!! I did a couple of weeks of mechanical perspective with the book from "Gwen White" and I knew I still had a lot more to do because I still found some troubles in the end, but yours, damn again, these are amazing! Do you use some book to aid you on these? I understand most of the concepts but setting up the planes without putting the horizon line or the vp's is something that scares me somehow, I tried also to do some things like these, but with curved surfaces and I always end up messing it and not quite getting the feel. Crazy good updates man, keep them coming!.
Wow! I really like your designs! Both the vehicles and the people/robots/extraterrestrials!
Also awesome shading technique. I'm gonna keep an eye on this sb![]()
Cool stuff. I didn't realize sketchup could do orthographic graphs like that. I'll definitely use that for some studies. Thanks for the tip!
lovely tumbnails dude, good design in them.
as a supplement for the sketchup graphs you can google "blueprints" and there are tones of sites with good quality blueprints to use.
