Sketchbook of Improvement

Hello all. I decided to make a new sketchbook since my last one wasn't updated very often. This time I hope to update once a week with studies I am going to be doing from here on out. I got kicked out of AI back in May 2011 so I have a ton more time to devote to what I really wanted to do in the first place, illustration. I'll be uploading old stuff first and hopefully uploading the studies I'll be doing once a week. Hopefully by the end of 2012 I will have improved a ton.

I mostly use a uniball roller pen for my sketches. It keeps me from fixing every little thing and forces me to move on to more drawings. I also use Photoshop CS3, graphite, charcoal, colored pencils and paints on occasion.

I try not to stylize my life studies but sometimes it is really difficult not to.

Not sure if this accurately shows improvement over the past two years but I will put it up anyway.

Rhino studies I've been doing since Monday. Not sure what animal I'll do for next Monday - Friday. The spots on the conte crayon drawing is from when I sprayed fixative on it.

More stuff. The last one is just thumbnails for my webcomic in the works. I love space scenes and would love to create beautiful images eventually.

I haven't been drawing much in the past two weeks. Holidays, loss of internet, getting sick and other crap invaded my life. So here's an old drawing I decided to add color to.

Self portrait made "ugly" and a few landscape stuff. I took most of the pictures except for three of them.
