    Belated Self Portrait

I missed Nov 1 for self portrait day because I was so swamped with homework among other problems. However, I knew this assignment was coming so I decided to use it as a self portrait! So here's me turning into a melty nuclear zombie. We had to do six different heads with different expressions and light sources.

I'm not so good with ze ink... and I can't seem to figure out feathering so it feels sloppy to me. If you have any tips, sling em out please. This is ink on a double page spread of bristol (I drew each face individually on pieces of copy paper, scanned them in, arranged carefully in photoshop and printed them out in 30% non photo cyan on 2 pieces of pre-ruled comic board)

These look really good to me and I'm surprised you've had no comments yet. Though, maybe they don't need any critique and thats why.

No idea about inking techniques - I'm pretty much self taught in that area and go for end result rather than particular processes to get there. The feathering you mention might be where I use a smaller pen nib to get finer lines so if you havent done that, maybe thats why you're seeing it as sloppy?

Still looks fine to me. Maybe a bit heavy on the shadows in the two foreground heads but thats the only nit I can find. Good stuff. I love the zombie effect too - it really works.

Great zombie stylings, there. The progression is obvious, but I think the likeness isn't quite consistent enough to automatically know this is all the same person.
