...simply amazing. Your digital linework is just mindblowing. And I really love the advanced-lighting-crystal-study. I'm pretty sure, your experience bar should be full soon

Your skill in rendering is top notch! I love the way you paint from life, I think it was back in post #46 I really love the way you handled the still lives and how energetic and lively the entirety of the paintings felt. Definitely do more of that and show it cause I think that's where your at your strongest! I also feel like you have a really great understanding of composition and value which makes your paintings and thumbnails pretty awesome.

Hey, great sb. I love the way your figure studies trace the contours of tone/shadow. There's a refreshing sense of dynamism about them too. Your update from way back on the 6th of March was fantastic... those feminine shapes, damn! Looking forward to more from you.

Very tight stuff in here, what i admire most is the diligence and organization you bring in your studies. Really pays off it seems! Lovely model sketches btw, and i liked those animations on page two a lot too. Would love to see some more characters designs, otherwise, i have no crits. Keep up the good work!

Ralvar- Thanks so much! I use Sai to sketch and do my linework in and it makes it 10x easier. Hahah I got a long way to go! I'm super excited for Scott Robertsons reflectivity class, can't wait for self-taught to open up so I can buy it.

Aveh- Thanks so much and haha it's a lot more fun thinking of it this way.

    kevin_ Thanks so much! ♥

Viki Oh- I hope to do more, although those were studies of Carol Marines still lives trying to figure out her process and emulate it digitally. Taught me alot about the necessity of a good underpainting tone. I hope to get better at composition and thumbnailing, I'm doing film studies at the moment and will post those up when I got 5-7 of them done.

    JoshDArtist- Oh your too kind!!

Pierce.- Hahaha I'll try and keep a bi-weekly schedule with this. But thanks!! ♥

Saph!!- SAME WITH YOU. Creeping all over your SB~

T-Eight- I learned a lot from the Scott Robertson DVD's. I did a lot of traditional marker studies will trying to follow along with him and well with traditional stuff, if you mess up you got to do it again until it's right. Helped me focus my value picking a lot. I hope not to disapoint!

Nele Klumpe- Usually when I'm done with a study and got what I need from it I trash it! It's fun and a good way to unwind from working your think tank.

Ludic- Thanks so much!! I hope to get better at it in the next few months, going to be really concentrating on my rendering and form.

Windmaker- Awwhhrrr your too kind ;w;!!

Terjis- Hahaha thanks! I love trashing my studies when I'm done with them. It's so fun I recommend it to everyone! Makes studies a little more light-hearted.

Phiq- I hope to do more anatomy studies, can't let that stuff atrophy. Hahah ahh so much to do!! But thanks so much ♥

    Chips- Oh my #>w<#!!

    Vices- Thanks so much ♥

walnut- Thanks! And since people have been asking for more character designs here's some monsters! And some studies of course.

    Tatzelwurm!

    I call him "Prick"

Going to elaborate on the plant people some more and dig up some fashion cliches and try and reformat them plant style.

Sorry for all the perspective stuff, I know it's boring I'm going to try and change it up with some film studies and more concept work. But I have a few more perspective things I want to try out. But if anyone is curious I do my linework/sketches in Sai. It's quite a great little program.
Edit: Whoa what CA shrinks your images now? What in the world.

In Regards to the basics, please can you direct me to a good book that focuses on the basics. Presently I am using drawspace.com and other free online materials because I haven't found any source that focuses on the basics. Would really appreciate your help on this. cheers

Hey man thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I am impressed with your approach. You still doing any studies at the atelier, thats such a strong foundation to have.

Like the composition thumbnails you did for spirited away you have a good brain for illustration I can tell am. Ps how did you go about learning construction techniques I am not sure what I should be doing people keep mentioning I should add it to my figure studies. Just looking through your work has given me new ideas of how to approach learning. Keep up the hard work will def be dropping by from time to time

kasblue- Thanks so much and perspective is intimidating at first but once you start working along with lectures and doing it, it helps build up soooo much confidence you want to use it in everything.

Gnomon just released three new vids all about perspective- http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/

    They look rad!

p sage- waaau thanks so much ;w; I love me some line thickness, if you love lineweight you'll love Roger Ibanez's work it's so slick.

Con-Artist- http://www.ctrlpaint.com/ is the place for you my friend!

Torres- I am a full time concept artist but I and do as much schooling on the side now that I can afford it. And thanks so much!

hu-ha- Oh thanks so much! Skullgirls was a pretty fun game to work on, I miss doing clean up animation.

Eleyon- Thanks so much I hope to slam down many more studies with holiday vacations coming up. Excited about having 2 weeks off in December.

    asa- Your too kind!

ja1307- Sadly no, I wish I could but right now I'm just doing classes via CGMW and Schoolism for areas I'm weak at.

Michael Hampton has some great stuff for invention. But learning from a span from many anatomy artists is the best way to go, each have their strengths and weaknesses. I hope not to disappoint!

    Shipping yo space

    With my fighters and frigates

I have never done industrial design before but in the next coming months you'll be seeing much of it alongside some rendering and character design work. Planning out 30-40 illustrations for 3 personal projects to do over the course of next year.
