Really great work here GPozzo! Loving the landscape in particular. The graphic bold strokes and the simple figures really remind me of the work of Tom Scholes.

The only critique that comes to mind is I'd watch out for the likes of the reflections of the grass in the knight/armour painting from your imagination, at the moment it's identical to the grass and blends in too easily (unless he's a stealth knight, in which case you've painted it perfectly :p).

Anyway, keep up the great work! I look forward to coming back to visit this sketchbook in future.

Agreed with the others -- the fancy brushes look good from time to time, but overdo it and it doesn't look right. They have their place.

I love the first one in your most recent post, the colour is striking and realistic.

Love your sketchbook man! my first initial 3 second responce to your last post was "fantastic" than I read your post and you mentioned that was a horse in front of the guy, did not catch the horse but the man and the trees are really loose and lovely...horses do all sorts of wonderfull gestures tilting there heads up to the sky swaying far to the side, dropping the down low to the ground. some steam comming out of his nose would help as well considering the weather. I've been a bit slow these days because i've been giving more time to music, practicing the guitar and just starting with the keyboard, so not to much to give to you guys but anyways, here is some:

hey there! great progress but I think that you should try and push your studies a bit further as opposed to just using big blocked brushes that you obviously love
I feel that it's hindering you in getting the most out of your studies, for example the metal study, using that kind of textured brush doesn't really accurately depict the smooth reflective surface of metal.

Try using some different brushes and go more detailed with your studies to get more out of them

Duplicitious: hey! you are definitely right in that one, sometimes (most of the times) i feel very lazy to do studies, this only happens when i'm doing studies, is just a bad habit of mine.

In the other hand i eager to paint my stuff from imagination, doing both studies and my own paintings only with that damn brush (wich i do love and i don't know why) i should try using different brushes from now on, that will be hard to do, anyways thanks for the crit

Let me guess Shado of the Colossus inspired sketches?! Either way they're great. You're conveying a great sense of atmosphere with these imagination pieces.

As for my previous armour comment, looking back I'd say he colour probably are right, it's just that there would be other colours within each plate forming borders and preventing what is actually a reflection of a landscape from somehow merging into the landscape. Try to think about what colours the edges of each plate are reflecting and use those to form "outlines" to break up the mass.

Brushwork has really come along niceley too, Keep up the great work!

The giant monsters are cool too, but I think you should try and draw or paint some of the detail that would be on the harness/armor pieces. They look very striking in all black, but they also don't help to build the form, which they could do really well.

MacTire: Yep, more or less, you see when i finished the first experimentation with alchemy, wich is the first one on post #125 i got inspired to make more, maybe a giant with those white eyes, then SotC art style came to mind and here we are...

and thanks for the crit on the armor, its clear now, i'll have it in mind next time, cheers man

Hey man, those enviro studies are looking great. Especially the second one with the half-shadow, the light feels really convincing.

You're off to a great start. I really enjoy your brushwork, very confident throughout. As for critiques, I would say to focus a bit more on values. Working strictly in grayscale might be beneficial in that regard. Keep posting!

soo... did some torso studies on paper, after finishing those i didn't have something in mind to paint so i decided to do some torsos from imagination on digital, then i did more studies, a ballerina (dont know if i should take it as study, i just liked the image a lot) and a red rock (wanted to play with the colors of that environment, deserts, canyons,etc)
