hippo skull!
Strong improvement is going on! Tradiotional seems to be weaker than your digital drawings, but this last ink skull ir really good.
From digitals I like post #63 and the self portrait. Just keep on pushing your limits.
Hey thanks vanaga! Yeah you're right, I'm always having a hard time putting down confident lines when working traditional.

Hey guys!
Congratulations, you all won a ticket to kick my ass next time I try to be lazy!
I've been travelling around Australia for the last few months so I didn't do a lot of art. I should have though! So now I am forcing myself to draw/paint every day, and even though the word "forcing" sounds I bit harsh it's actually a lot of fun! Hope it'll stay that way.
But, I didn't do nothing, so here's just a bit of a sketch and study dumb to get me back on track!
Aaand here's today's studie! 30 min

The lives studies are real eye candys. Could you tell me what kind of tool did you used? It looks like Charcoal, but I could be wrong...
"It's a time machine, Napoleon. We bought it online."

nice, you're progressing really well, keep it up
Qikalain Thanks man! Yeah you got it right, I used charcoal for the life drawings sometimes. Loved it! It was so much more comfortable for me, and I really like to fill those large shadows really quick, it just has a great flow to me personally! So yeah, thank you
DaevidK Thanks mate, will do!
David, your digital art studies are stunning! i love your landscapes work, and portraits.
I see huge potential here, and judging from the way your skills seem to improving.. i bet you'd make a great conceptual artist.
Keep em coming!
Thanks a lot, Mepainter! Here's a new landscape, just for you
This was sort of an experiment. Instead of starting with a blank canvass, I used some distorted photos as a base and for the values like Feng Zhu did in one of his videos, and then painted over it.

Hi!
This last portrait is great. Forms, lights and final expression - everything works.
One thing: everything is painted but his beard looks like drawn with pen (a lot of short tiny lines).
Anyway - good work!
Cheers,
Stan
Thanks for the comment, Stan! Well a beard is essentially a lot of short tiny linesIt seemed like the best way to make it look realistic to me. But I see what you mean!
Today's speedpainting, 1h
