Mythtaken needs to practice!

So, the day finally came. I've been looking through these forums for several years without posting anything of importance. I need to kick start myself to practice everything. I've recently started on the Andrew Loomis books, so expect yourselves to see such stuff. Anyway, without any further due, here's my first minor dump:

Oh right, I knew i forgot something. Well, my name is Simon, I'm currently 21 years old. I'm studying Game Design and Graphics at a university in Sweden. I was drawing alot when I was younger, but when i got older I kind of lost the spark and enjoyment of drawing. Until recently (well, a year or two back in time) I tried to re-ignite the spark again. When I realized I wasn't good enough to be confident to show my work to others, I decided to start from scratch with the fundamentals etc. My goal is to become a concept artist, mainly for games. This is a short version of my life today, feel free to ask further questions.



These are done from reference, metal studies and a color study.

Sorry for this delay, but hey, i moved on to torsos! Decided to put away my reference images when i did the last three, to see if I actually learnt something. I have a long way to go, but at least I'm moving forward.

Your helmets and parrot are really great. They are rendered really accurately and realistically.

Loomis is really good, keep doing that. It is good to mix some drawings of real people in though. Even if they are from photos.

I like to look at someones interpretation of people and real people at the same time.
When I do that it helps me build my knowledge of how to best convey parts of people best.

Keep up the good work, and keep posting!

I've been meaning to upload more work, and i will do it. New course started, "2D concept sketching", so there will be plenty of sketches from real life in here really soon.

Thank you sir! Here's a few arms before school. Also a new course today, zBrush. 3D eh.. ..oh well, might be fun.

I did these arms just to figure out the shapes and sections of the arm, it's not a study about arm length etc. Even though I tried as much as possible to get it right, my main focus was the groups and how they connect. Anyway, here they go!

I've been slacking with uploading items here, though, been having a busy week with much drawing, fortunately. Well, here's a dump of some few character sketches, made for a game concept document. I originally started with posing them just like i do a few posts up, then give them some meat on the bones and finally some clothes.
