Nice stuff Yina, the detail on the colour pieces is amazing, especially when you're rendering hair!

time to revive a dead sketchbk.

i recently started school, im enrolled in a digital media design course and we've been doing some drawing and stuff.

so here's some old and new stuff. some are school work while others are my own studies or drawings for fun.

from the old to the new:

    skull studies

    irrelevant junk

self portrait -- we have to do one daily -- traditonal media

    drawing class

started learning perspective in class too.

colour theory class: painting with gouache. my 1st time painting traditionally, fun.

    irrelevant stuffs again

Nice! You have a really good graphite rendering skill. Keep up your color piece, they are coming along really good.

looking good Yina, you have a great handle on rendering and light, and alot of good studies. My suggestion would be to do lots of gestures now to break some of the rigidness in some of the figures. You hear that alot but it really does help [me] in understanding figures, looks like you already have a good handle on anatomy.

    keep em coming nice sketches

i agree with steak. your rendering is great, now with some gesture studies will help you loosen up and get more flow into the figures. other then that great job, please continue to post!

    Hi Yina,

you seem to have a virtue I´m lacking atm: Patience. It really shows in your rendered stuff, digital and graphite. What you have to practise imo is some loosening up and getting a sound base for free drawing - but this is just a matter of practise and you did a great start.

Hope to see more of your development in future!

Wow! I wonder where your skills are? LoL Your digital skills are amazing! Especially the photo refs. I can't imagine the patience you must have! I get bored. I'm pretty bad about wanting immediate results with my art. You really seem to take the time and it's lookin' really good. Great studeies too. You're already improving! Keep it up!
