Here is another illustration for a card game, it's a stylised version of Icarus. Photoshop, 2 days work, from a lame sketch I did a couple days ago that I had to rework almost entirely.
Thanks for watching,
All the best.

Here is another illustration for the same card game, it's a depiction of the mythical fight between Tezcatlipoca aka Smoking Mirror and his nemesis Quetzalcoatl the Feathered Snake, both gods in pre-colombian Central America.

Hi everyone, here is a few things I did lately, for work and fun. I went back to the roots, no more raw painting, instead I've become more careful and organized:
- perspective
- sketch
- values
- basic colors
- and finally painting and detailing.
It takes me more time for sure, but every step cleared allows me to focus solely on the next one, whereas before, perspective, design and color would undergo ceaseless tweaking, until the very last moment, that is when I was fed up or had to submit the work.
Old way's the best way, right?
Thanks for watching.

I love your paintings, especially your character designs in your paintings!
So creative!!
I love that portrait. The way you've done it really draws the eye to the centre, where the features are brightest and clearest. Post more soon!
Hi guys, here is a little concept I did for practice yesterday night and this morning. I hope you like it!
Arthur.
Crazy good paints!! I also thought this post should be stickied somehow so everyone sees it, and that Morgana was one of the best characters ive seen in ages.
my only crit is on Icarus, the circles on the wing furthes from us are too circular, which is messing with the perspective a bit. its insanely well painted tho.
consider me inspired! 5*

Thanks a lot, I agree with you on Icarus, Velocity Kendall, not even that insanely well painted actually... I'm trying to step up my game, taking a close look at such great concept artists as Bumskee, Borkur, Chenwei (my teacher), Craig Mullins, Cryptcrawler, Dan Milligan, Frazetta of course, Ginogino, Lokman Lam, Paul Bonner, Paul Lasaine, RD7, Takayama, Theonides, Tom Acholes, Yang Qi and Zhong Fenghua for example. I invite you guys to check them out, cause that's inspiration right there.
Hi guys, here is a preliminary work for a card game illustration. I post a sketch and a version with a composition guide and perspective grid to show how I set it up.

Hi, here is another black and white drawing for a card illustration in two levels. The subject is Prometheus, who stole fire from the Olympian gods to give it to mankind. He then got punished by Zeus, by having his liver perpetually devoured by eagles while being attached to a rock. Hercules then freed him while on his own adventure.
Thanks for viewing, all the best!

Hello,
Just stumbled upon your sketchbook and I must say that it is GORGEOUS. Apart from complimenting your art, I want to compliment your whole unshallow take on art and the impressive mindset you have. I love your post about the artist's evolution and the little psychological subtleties in your descriptions. People like you have that something to make it big.
Subscribed. Cheers![]()

Hey Panshi, nice ship! I've notice that you've approached it differently than your other work. It looks good. I like the way you mirrored the ship through the cast shadow. What programs did you use for this? I've been looking at your brush strokes on this and they’re so sharp and consistent. I would love to know how you got your lines so clean.
You've been doing a lot of cool stuff lately. It's nice to see you've been keeping your sketchbook up.
Hi guys, thanks for these nice comments, I waited till last weekend to reply with some more sketching, but I got to do something else. Sleep.less, I'm humbled by your appreciation ; Nicky Beats, thanks for your consistent support to this sketchbook ; Shorinji Knight, I use the good old Photoshop for this, as I do with all my pieces, and the mirror effect is done by simply duplicating the ship, turning it upside down, making sure the wheels touch at the right places, and erasing most of it with a blurry brush. As for the sharp boundaries, I use selection tools of various shapes as I paint the ship and apply effects. If you guys want my brush presets, I'll gladly share them on skype, just add me as a contact!
All the best,
Arthur.
