First time drawing a man and a woman - need advice

I never draw any human before, so I wanna try it out. I expect it to be bleak and bland because this is my first try. The objective of the drawing is rather I just want to practice some cartoon anatomy and trying to make the next drawing look better than this by pointing out the bad factors.

So I want some advices on some points I've marked on the image:

A: drawing hands is problematic for me. The fingers and how the hand is drawn - it does not look good. I draw hands by taking a photo of someone's hand and try to "imitate" it. Sometimes, I found that I put too much details which contradict with the rest of the image. I'm still not sure about drawing a proper hand in this context here.

B: I see that the legs of both characters are not interesting. It's... how should I put it? There is nothing mentionable. What are some of the lines and strokes should I apply here to make them more noticeable?

C: I am trying to draw a ponytail hair that has the tail wrapped to the front, but I am not sure about the stroke around her head. What do you think?

D: What are some of the things we can improve to make her face? And possibly, what are some of the more things we can add?

I am looking for criticism here, so I can improve. Please criticize me and roll in all the comments, thank you.

Did you use a reference for this? As in real humans or at least photos? The Loomis books should help you: http://alexhays.com/loomis/

Nothin to criticize here, its cartoon style.. so there are no rules, go and draw something realistic from reference, make yourself a Sketchbook thread and post it there, then you'll get the answers you need.

Mind you, cartoon style can be critiqued, it just can to be a lot harder. Just because it's stylized, it doesn't mean the style would work on presenting what it should, look good or unified.

However I do agree with starting a Sketchbook and drawing real things. If you want to stylize something, you should know what the thing really looks like. Otherwise you just end up drawing symbols that you don't understand, like the woman's eyes. These are a good read:

I think all you need to do is study anatomy and use reference images and you'll be good.

Everyone already nailed it but I just want to say good on you for taking the next step and drawing something you're not totally comfortable with. Now we have to improve!

Reference, Loomis books, just what the others said.
Unless you use the most stylized style, the legs shouldn't be cylinders, they aren't straight but much more interestingly shaped. Look at people or even good stylized drawings how legs and other parts look like. TinyBird already said, you need to learn how humans look to simplify and stylize them.
