@CountBlackula Hah, never heard a compliment like that one. Thank you :]
@Jaik I have a loooooooong way to go on my portraits. But it's cool you dug it.

Study of a photo.... which i will convert to color. I'm horrible at doing so. This may be challenging.

And So, it's been 1 year and my Deathlines gone! Now It's time for year 2. In which I will put myself into turbo drive! What I mean by that is that I will thoroughly challenge myself on a daily basis and post as oftenly as I can. I'm still working out my 3 new Deathline Goals to a T, but thats the sum of it- improve like never before! I'm looking forward to it. Once I graduate in another 2 months it should be easier to keep up with these goals, until then I'll do my best! Seriously, stay tuned.

I'm in love with the way you paint skin, do you have any tips towards the brushstrokes, opacity or the brush in general? Absolutely stunning work, congrats!
Please, check my SKETCHBOOK and leave feedback. I want to improve!

@llex_Paul Eh I'm not too happy with it. it's a strange technique I've never been too keen with. but thanks for the support :]
@Agricolyte Thanks, Probably like 8 hours
@ChisLu I can't really give you tips. I mean it's just another material, the way it reacts to light it's generally middle tones, not very reflective, and sometimes see through. It takes practice to get good at it, and I don't even feel very good at it so I find it funny you think so. I must be doing something right haha. Oh and I never touch opacity. Well recently I have been sorta messing around with it, but next to always I leave it at 100%.

    Bleh, moving on!

Damn Zesiul, you're improving so fast! Lovely study on the Thor-chick. The colors and light on that metal bra are incredible, good job on that. Amazing

@Llex_Paul I used some color layers for color, but in general i like to paint on a single layer. Feels more natural.
@Overtoom Thanks man, I was sorta unhappy with it cause I didn't feel like I captured the likeness, but yeah there were some decent points in it. Thanks dude.
@wutangclam Smudge tool rocks, what can I say?

So now in the pinup class we're doing sketches for our own pinup. i was thinking something futuristic. I wanted to do full body poses... gonna do a LOT more until I'm happy. These were just starters.

Costume concepts! I like how this class has really varied it's applications, yet still all goes to the one final goal. Nice!

    @Capt Surge Thanks! You too!!

I feel like I've just been doodling away on this one for a bit too long. Maybe I'll stop working on it and start something I've wanted to start for awhile now. I've just been changing things like the lighting, redoing the shapes, redoing the pose. It gets to me, and I think the best thing is to maybe just let it sit for a bit.

I could really use advice on what I'm doing wrong though....

Thanks for sharing your progress... your characters are so good!! The last one turned out great. She looks like she really has a personality. The different poses you tried out also looks awesome.

@Cabbage Caterpillar I don't think those came out very well at all. I'm still pushing through!

Okay so, new pose. I added in slightly more feminine stuff... not super stellar towards the leather torso piece as I was with the jacket. Might sill mingle around with that. Like none of the costume-or evern the pose- is final yet. I like her upper half pose way more, but putting her off balance... idk, it feels like she's more of a poppy teen instead of a badass punk. Working on it!

Did a quick couple of renders of lighting. I originally had my heart stuck on the left, but now I really like the middle.. I'm not sure just yet, but I'll definitely keep posting my progress!

Im going to leave this one for a bit, I just feel like I'm doodling and not learning anything. So I'm going to do some studies, and some overdue illustrations.

Wow, you have some gorgeous studies. I especially adore your master studies. When you do works from imagination though, your poses seem a little awkward, although your rendering skills are very nice. Perhaps try some gestures instead of fully rendering everything? Oh, and I want to see more men studies. I'm guilty of only drawing ladies too, but you don't want to be too unbalanced.

Keep going! Your art looks great!

@Whimsnicole Yeah I should paint more gestures in general. I'll definitely start off more of those. Thanks for your comments, I take them to heart.

So here is a new Illustration I'm working on! It's been very interesting and out of my comfort zone, been focusing on lighting and shape. Next I'll color and render it---- but I want to break away from it for maybe a week and do some short term stuff.

Also happy late new year! I graduate from college at the end of the first week this February. So After then I will be posting a LOT more. Keep watching out. :]

Hey, good work, one tip for you though, when you're starting in greyscale and you know you want to convert to colour, try to leave some areas loose and don't go to black or white stay in the middle range. When you blend the colours after having it loose in areas will help to well make the blending more natural and adding colour on top of pur black and white...it just really doesn't work. Good luck!
