@ Jalk, yeah I've been messing around with a few things. Like My computer brightness is really low. Burns my eyes to have it high and all. So When i turn it up it looks so different. I'm trying to find a happy medium. Plus she was a bit to warm to be in such a cool enviroment. Thats a whole color issue on my part, still working on that stuff. We'll see how that all goes....


OKAY, 5 day break or so. GAH. Get it together me. (I had 5 days of work and school) so this free time stuff isn't always on the top of things to do list, but it's always floating in my head. LUCKILY, I didn't stop. I took moments to keep pushing forward each of those days. So here is yet another redo of the comp and character pose. But I'm feeling finish-y. As in this is the one that'll do it. Just gotta clean up and finish it. Here we go-

I ramble too much, hah. I'll (hopefully) post more tonight. And I should post more of the studies I do, but I haven't been saving them lately. We'll see.

sup man, its been a while. I'm glad to see you've been hittin it hard since i last dropped by and theres alot of awesome stuff here. You anatomy is lookin prity solid and i'm diggin those environment thumbs on the previous page. Keep it up dude, you've progress alot.

Did a couple of singular studies. As in just studied the arm in that pose, or the leg in the other. Then I put it all tohether and boom! What I got bellow. Haven't touched the background since last few posts. So the next one will have more to come. But I'm a bit busy this weekend so next this post might be a couple of days.

Someone is improving much!! Great setting in the forest. I would be careful to polish the girl too much, think it would look really nice to keep it rough, like the tree is now.

Redid the forest for the most part. Lots of doodeling. Might redo some of it since it's kinda super green and doodley. Right now I'm buffing out with the character. Should be done next post maybeeee.

It's almost there. Honestly I'm not sure why I'm updating now cause when i update later it might not seem so great. But I know it's not there yet. Other than the flaws I'm just not happy with her design and I can't pin point how I want it to be. I'll leave it for a few days and see where I can go from there. Gotta catch up on homework any who.

Okay so big news! I just got accepted into a Crimson Daggers Mentorship program!! yeah I was excited too! And so the first assignment is to do 10 female skulls in line and 10 shaded. SO here are 15 done in line and 4 in shaded, I'll have the other 6 shaded next update. plus 5 master studies of female faces! Wooo- working hard!

Hey, congratulations on your mentorship programme!! Great assignments they gave you! I'm pretty sure those skull studies can help a lot to grasp an excellent head structure. I'm just curious, where do you get those female skulls? Are those real references from a skull you got from a store or something? Or are those photoreferences? Or imagination?

@Darkthur Well the line ones are from a skull i got at AnatomyTools.com while the shaded are all from a resource posted by another user. You can find their resources here.

Finished the 10 skulls and started 1 of the 5 master copies. I'm hoping to have 2 of those done tomorrow! So Check back.

@rastaray I'm taking a break from it for a bit. Especially while in this class. It's taking up most of my time.


The characters are mostly done here, If I update it again before it's due I'll finish the persons and add a background!

Some nice works in here mate, the latest master study is coming out fantastically. Try to define edges of the face less though. The lips and eyelids of some of the previous studies were a bit too sharp to look natural.

So for this weeks studies I was to do 5 shaded and 5 colored from photos... I unfortunately wasn't able to finish it. It's been a busy week and I'm mere hours from deadline so 4 heads in color instead of 5. Some sort of hurricane thing slowed me down or something. But It's all good. Just going to do better this next week!!

Sweet paintings man, very smooth. You make me want to do portrait studies, but mine never turn out so nicely and so full of form.. great stuff!
