Quick figure study, got out of hand and gave it a quick colour paint over.

Man your work is awesome! I'm like how you show your breakdowns. The line work in your sketches are impressive too. Looking forward to seeing more!
@cgfelker Hey : ).. that's very kind. Thanks for encouraging
A more worked-up colour sketch. I didn't really get a good value read at the start, and the flags dont read well in the composition, and I never solidly nailed the lighting design.
My excuse is that it's painted pretty low res ; )Maybe next time : /
(edit - this work is horrifically bad now that I look at it again)

Hey, beautiful studies here! With the last piece I notice the character becomes one with the background maybe a bit too much though imo. You could try either darkening him or the background? I'm not so good in painting but maybe its useful anyway!
Ouch, too long not updated.. a couple of greyscale ideas.. hope to work this up this week. Shall add some sketch book scans too.
@Gibi - thanks man, yes, there's lots of problems with that painting : / Thanks for taking a look.
Sketches, Colour skertches, and old-masters' copy, and a squirrel thign from work. Colours are messed up on the bear-marine thing, never decided on light direction or colour : /
photo ref: skin tones, forms, all that.. heads a bit messed up, but, meh : /
So much for keeping up dedicated work... I'll keep sucking. Here's some sprawling aimless work...

loose thumbnail sketch that I worked up a little, think the structure is all over the place, and the design isn't very clear.. more mechanical stuff to come.
couple of photo studies
cool studies and the mechanical thumbs look awesome
@asa - Thanks captain : )
Worked up one of the hover ship thumbnails... lost all the energy of the sketch as usual : )
Nice work, you're getting a knack for working quickly and plotting down your ideas. One thing I'd suggest is that it looks like you're doing a lot of your shading with black / white brushes.... try to avoid that (particularly rim lighting on some of your earlier posts); use light colours rather than just transparent blacks and whites (navy blue typically for black, light cream for white, depends on the overall light setting though), it'll give your lighting more volume.
man everything is awesome in herethe mechs!
@blighted - cheers man, yup, I'm looking to improve my colours / colour rendering (along with everything else : ) )
@dimi - yo, thanks for looking : ) mechs rule in general !

your control over your figure drawings and anatomy is awesome...your imagination sketches of your figures or beyond awesome you have rhythm in your line work.
