Hello CAPeeps, I've been straining at the bit to release some images of the book, but didn't want to do anything prematurely, - there's quite a backlog, so I'll be updating frequently, and in big dumps.
The project started back in late 1995, and it really changed over that time, so it was a big personal journey for me in all kinds of ways. as a person, as a painter. Anyway, here's the beast - Salsa Invertebraxa, only just published this week, so it's box fresh (see links for more details) - Enjoy






































Synopsis -
Salsa Invertebraxa charts the odyssey of two invertebrate companions as they journey through a vibrant world of imaginary insects and flora.
Amid the turmoil of two warring empires competing for dominance on the forest floor, they encounter new species of insect among surreal gardens of terrestrial delights.
By moonlight, Salsa becomes a nightmare shadowscape as the two kleptomaniacs attempt to steal eggs from monstrous super-predators.

btw I kept incremental saves of all 200 paintings, from the pencil stage onwards (some of the saves went beyond 120 stages, so the whole project amounts to about 800 gigabytes of work) - so when i get the chance I'll be uploading lots of work in progress stuff, if there's any pic in particular you'd like to see wip just holler,

I never loved the insect world but this has some charm and has totally attracted me. Surely you made me believe that there is a beauty in their nature too.
