    TAD: Questions

First of all, this school seems perfect for me. I am a 19-year old art school student interested in becoming a concept artist - and I might be moving to another country where art schools might not be. Seeing as this is all online and taught by artists that I like is perfect. Even the cost seems like a bargain.

However, I do have some questions that I was hoping other students could help me with.

    1.) Is this school accredited?
2.) Does it have financial aid and/or how are the scholarships? How hard are they to get?
    3.) How are the classes?

Any other information is very useful.

I will do my best to answer this. First, thanks for the interest in the program.

TAD is not accredited, but offers a ton of scholarships for new incoming students of merit. It takes a lot of hard work to earn them but it is entirely possible. TAD also helps students by offering discounts for up front payments as well as TAD financing allowing for the payments to be made monthly.

You can get more answers from Scott who runs admissions and he is at infoATtheartdepartment.org

As far as how the classes are, I can tell you that there are more demos in one week at TAD, than I got in two years at Ringling, and the on demand features allows you to watch them over and over, or move them around your schedule rather than move your schedule around classes. I am of the full belief this is the top art program out there.

It is of note that as of now, half of TAD's third semester entertainment 2d students are already working or have worked for the industry. I don't know of another college that can say that about its Sophomore students.

I wish you the best of luck and godspeed!

    Thanks for the interest!

    Experimentel-

Yes I do know. We are only in our third semester and currently going through the process of obtaining accreditation. We can not discuss or disclose where we are in the process as of yet, but as soon as we are able I am sure you will know!

    Thanks again,

    John
