uh ah, can't wait.
Love the music, reminds me of good movies

I like the concept of a retired gangster. I hope this means no dancing minigames. That was a real turn off with the first San Andreas.
This is where gta starts to get good again (i hope)
I wanna see what happened to OG Loc after 20 years.
The environments look great in that trailer. It's feeling more and more realistic.
i modded the shit out of my GTAIV, its rad you can fly around like superman, be immortal, pick up buses with telekinesis and put real cars and realistic handling in. loads of fun.

Saw those mods, people did fucking awesome job with it. To bad Rockstar won't hire some of those guys, or at least try to learn from them, to create better game.
I mean this one is announced as "most anticipated game" so i think it must be good.
But still we will wait till end of 2012

Buy GTAIV from the online shop and Ill send you my mods. Theyre mostly tiny scripts and the scripthooks that connect them to the game, and some bits to unlock portions of game data and allow a PS2 controller to talk to the computer. It all takes a little fettling but by the time its all set up youre basically a Neil from The Matrix. Fly about, kill everyone, fly off to the top of the WTC Tower..
One person made a lovely little toy version of Laguna Seca.
heres a silly video I made..

IGN is convinced GTA5 is about Tommy Vercetti. I'm not, but I'd be pretty excited if it was. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/1211367p1.html
I hope you can drive through a beautiful countryside again.

I'm pretty sure everyone thought that guy was CJ when they he first pops up in the trailer. I don't buy it, though. He's kinda ugly.
There's no way that's Nico.
It'd be cool if it was Tommy. But Tommy would have to be in his 60's if this game is taking place in modern times, which is what it looks like.
If anything I think those are just fake nods to the characters to make people jump to these connections.
TOMMY!
It would be nice to see a the GTAIII continuity bleed into GTAV, but Tommy would be in his late fifties to early sixties right now and unless Rockstar plans on making a whole new character dynamic to work with that, it seems impractical. Nice idea though. A cameo would be nice, but I think a whole new backstory leaves so much more room for creativity. Either way, I'm stoked.
Look at the HUUUGE difference. (sarcasm)
I found this guy doing excellent and movie making job with GTA 4 game.
Take a look, he is very creative

I hope GTA5 can go up to this level of quality. This is a mod for anybody who can drop a months rent on a graphics card.
Playing with the ice is fun, but i really like how people have added in giant new islands, the ability to fly like superman, the world trade centre towers, real cars with better handling and damage, shorter loading screens, stuff like that. teamed with some friends and a few spliffs its basically the perfect game now for some mindless fun.
and the replay mode.... you can stop time and look at the carnage from different angles, cut different shots together, its ridic

It seems with any game or engine, the end user creates a better experience. I rarely buy games that aren't mod-friendly.

Looks like Rockstar are going to be pulling out all the stops for the new GTA game in a big bad way. Should be a real fun game.

I really don't understand that kind of marketing. What the hell does some fake cult site have to do with GTA? Are there gonna be missions that involve them?

Ah, so it's a running gag? Figures I wouldn't know it. I'm not a GTA fan at all.
I'm not really a GTA fan either, but i do enjoy watching other people play it. This one looks like it's getting back to what made the first (third) one so good. The retired gangster angle is pretty cool and hopefully they just repackage the first 3d version. I think they tried to do too much with a few installments (especially San Andreas).
Looks pretty good though. The graphics are amazing. Also hopefully it's not like Saints Row, because that was just a bit too hokey.
I kinda liked the insane amount of stats you had in San Andreas. I can see why they decided to remove basically all of them when GTA 4 came out, but it was pretty interesting.
I was under the impression EVERYBODY loved GTA. The last San Andreas was pretty tacky though. I almost threw it away when I had to play the dance and lowrider missions. I think Rockstar let Saints Row take the tacky shit though.
That viral site is pretty funny. I always liked the tangents they go on to put humor in their world building.
Amazing trailer i just watched it seconds ago on gamespot. The graphics look somewhat realisticly painted in comaprision to gta IV's real life graphics. Colorfull atmosphere really brings it alive.
Looks pretty cool actually. And I've never been that into GTA...
