These are nice. I like the first one a lot (I will have to disagree with you thinking it is the lack of eyelashes though--I find it gains that surreal/uncanny quality from the eyes being much larger than on a real person).

Are you using reference on these?

Lovely works. They're very lifelike but 'just not really', if you know what I mean? I like that.

Wow, i've never stopped by your sketchbook before. U have some really nice stuff in here. My only crit would be to try branching out from just portraits, cause i'll bet you could do some killer stuff with whole figures if your portraits are this good.

Anyway, keep it up! looks great!

Hi Noctulius, I'm not really the right person to give major critique back based on my level of skill, but I feel like I needed to congratulate you on creating some beautiful paintings of these girls... the rendering is great and these are a great inspiration for someone like me. Would love to know your secrets and work process.

Amazing!!! love the subtleness of the tones - the eyes draw you in.

I like 'em, they are all kinda monumental and delicate at the same time, but that first picture plus the one on the thumbnail have really got something. I think it has to do with the fact that the whole rectangle is coming into expressive operation, rather than parts as is the case with most of the others.

Yeah that first one is awesome, for sure. I agree that it has an uncanny quality to it... the expression I think does it for me. Very classical.

    These are glorious.
It took me like three hours to finish the shading on your upper lip. It's probably the best drawing I've ever done.

Awesome paintings! Your style is really awesome!!! 5 and 6 are the only ones that freak me out. :-) The last one could use some more definition. One of my favorite parts of your paintings is the hair. In last one u went out of focus on the hair & face. You should absolutely paint a sister. (African American face) It would be awesome! I'd love to see how u approach a different skin tone. It would add another dimension to your awesome portraits.
