Red face My Sketch Book : )

Hello, nice to meet everyone here. : )
I'm Tiara ( Aurora ), I'm new here and I've decided to post my sketch book.
My favorite materials are usually traditional drawing and oil painting, but recently I try to work on digital painting more.
Although I've done many anime 2D style, I love realism and fantasy art as well.

I will try to update as soon as I have new work update.

Thank you so much: ) the first one is the recent work that I've done. I still need to practice more and I will post them soon.

I'm glad you like my style, : ) I like to draw both gender but I usually enjoy represents women characters more sometimes. For the hair I've been practicing by learning from real hair, but I still need to study more about it since they are many good artists who drew the hair so soft and realistic. From my opinion to make the hair looks nice, I usually paint it loosing details in the shading (highlight and dark shade), and add details in to the mid tone part. ^^

THank you!!! for the post on my SB i appreciate it!
looks like youve got anatomy down in what ive seen so far... but only in certain poses.

i reccomend any of those anatomy books... u can probably get the pdfs online... i have every andrew loomis book on pdf and the bridgman complete in reall life... they are use ful but there are other ways to study anatomy that can yield the same result.

since youve pretty much gotten really good at your style... theres not much to say... as far as i can tell it is perfect!

so if youre looking to do more stuff like that apple or realism or still lifes or landscapes... i would reccomend it... cant hurt to expand your horizons... but i know ... uhh always do what you love yknow ..it pains me to draw apples and vases.... its so boring... but if done correctly and with a LOT of time.. it is OH SO rewarding... so keep at it.. i will be keeping an eye on this SB. cant wait to see what you can do from here on out!

EDIT: i fall in love with your drawings everytime :')
and for more specific advice (idk if u want it from me lol >.<) but uhh try some RADICALLY DIFFERENT POSES
draw a girl from the top and from the back... and draw a girl with the feet being the closest thing to the viewer.

something like the top left and bottom right in this image ---> http://www.contentparadise.com/selle...29/39436_1.jpg

Damn, you're crazy good. How old are you? You've got your style down no prob. As great as your imagination pieces are, some more observational work would be nice. If you do that maybe we can help you out with certain areas that you may be lacking. Keep posting, you're very good.

    Masquerade,

I've done this one in old-school traditional inking by
using pure brushing work with black ink on the paper.
    I will update more ^^

Thank you ! I still need more practice though recently I decided to keep away from manga/anime styles I still need to study more again about the fundamental anatomy and everything.

Nice work, vivid colors! first image has a cool armor design. Also this one has something special, cool and dynamic. I foresee really great things if you manage to mix that style with a more realistic one, as you said. Keep sharing!

You have some beautiful design work in your characters. I love the ornate detail.
I agree with the others about the anatomy crits and general proportion crits.
If you haven't heard of vignettes, you should look into it, learn it and love it. A lot of the pieces you have posted here don't stand on their own as finished works, but have a lot of good things going on none the less. Vignetting may be something that really helps you out. Gurney did a good bit on his blog about it here->

    Very very nice!

The details and features in your drawings and paintings are rendered extremely tightly and cleanly.
You have a very good understanding of what you are doing!

You said you liked doing realistic work, I would love to see some of that posted here!

Please keep up the excellent work, I will definitely be back again!
