    Art advice in one sentence.

Do u have any art advice that can be summed up in one sentence?

Maybe a slogan you go by or some really simplified piece of advice that can apply toward a number of things? I ask cause i've got a few that i always seem to go back to, and i always seem to remember the simpler stuff that i can memorize word for word better than entire books.
So yeah, got any "one sentence advice"? It can be someone elses that you heard, but just something that stuck with you.

    I'll go first:
-If you are going to do it, do it right the first time and every time after that.

-Dont be afraid to murder your darlings.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Back up all your files in as many places as you can, and do it often.

Don't dismiss other things that you've not tried; I've done assignments based on fashion design, typography and also branding for a wedding show at work: all three of those things made me cringe at first, but now I've learned a wealth of new things relevant to my own work simply by being thrown into the deep end of unfamiliar territory. (long one, but look, only one full stop!)

    Fear cuts deeper than swords.

(From SoIaF, and it means that your fear of something is more dangerous than the thing itself. For artists, the fear is creating 'bad' art or encountering someone who thinks your work is bad.)

You have 10,000 bad drawings in you; the sooner you get them out, the sooner you'll be making great art!

Best art/general advice I can come up with:

"Never ask anyone to give guidance on anything important in ONE sentence."
