    Critique Requested

    First attempt on painting this type of works; face, hair and neck are based on photo reference; any critique and constructive comments are welcomed;

    Also, I am new to this forums. Please point out any error on the thread

    In the ref pic: There is a wide, dark space above and surrounding the nose. This makes the form pop out more. You've also lost the cheek and mouth fat on that side, try separate the forms better. Her forehead was also a bit lost on that side, round it up to match the ref pic.

    Hips: Are too wide, just my personal taste.

    Clothes: Are floating and not wrapping around the form beneath. I'd suggest drawing the form beneath first before rendering in paint. Good 2D needs a sense of depth and 3D.

    clothes look flat, and the hair is pretty simplistic. i also agree on the face. also her neck is too long. measure it comparitively with your refrence. i measured almost half a head to long.

    Her cheeks seem flat on the painting. Her skirt seems very flat down below and I would check the anatomy on both of her arms and it would be better if you create a more defined light source for this character.

    You have two obvious light sources in the stuff coming out of her hands...one warm and one cool. However, they are not being used on the figure. You need to forget the lighting from your reference photo and use what you have put into your scene.
    As the ego shrinks, so the spirit expands.
