Here is thing I currently work on. From imagination, lineart (wip) and quick color scheme. That orange thing in corner will be (hopefully) glass of juice and that gray something in middle of plate is potential pile of salt

Breaking news!
Group of fashion people not so fashionable after attack of madman with digital marker. Today, dear viewers, term fashion victim got whole new meaning...

but anyway, i quite enjoy this style of crazy rambling with markerlike strokes, when there is no need to make perfect and correct lines and I can experience pure fun of drawing

soft pastels! its pretty messy but I think we will get along. also this was tryout without any reference so I suppose it will be better with model I love the way you can smudge them into oblivion and even better, they are very much erasable with plastic eraser (at least on this paper) so it is kinda like digital. Only that with photoshop I need not wash my pants after every drawing

i'd say you're on a good path with anatomy and you just need to keep going really. balance line studies with value and color studies and it's a solid combination.

@sickbrush - thanks a lot that is huge motivation booster for me
today i discovered SAI painter tool and started to play with it. I found that I have serious reserves in my lineart section (im so slooooow O.o), so i will propably work at that much more. SAI is very good for linework (it almost feel like cheating) and i will surely give him more space in my drawing time

Hey Rubajz. I like how you are trying out new mediums and messing around with different tools. The anatomy study in #42 with the marker is done really well. Keep up the studies!

@PerfectGet - yeah i love markers, especially when somebody know how to use them... ie not me yet but i will give them more space in near future

todays study.. he is tough. i think tomorrow will be one hundred mouth day, because they give me seriously hard time :/

Good variety in your studies--there's definitely progress here.

I think some daily sketching from your head would do you good. Even if you're just doing it as a warm-up, you want to stay balanced in referenced work and imagination-born projects. You learn a lot with references, but with stuff from your head you learn about yourself, and what you need to get more comfortable with. Don't underestimate that.

Anyway, some cool work here. I love that recent color study with the building--very accurate, and you put some drama into the picture. Keep it up!

@JesseM - you are absolutely right! I totaly spaced out imagination stuff, so I will start with it right away. I think participating in chow etc. will be good too

bleh, i hope one day i will look at these crappy imaginations and be nostalgic about how bad I was. Then i open my mail folder and get gratulation from Wizards of the coast for my thousand magic card illustration. Some day... it will happen
