    Post Designer's Toys Creation

Hi, this is my very first post on a forum. Please go easy on me.

I've been inspired by the vast collections of Designer's Toys out there in the market. Even one of my friend is really crazy into it and has been collecting it for over 8 years. (Here's his collection which he wants to sell, http://www.facebook.com/pages/SOUL-O...17750931655727) One of my biggest inspiration is Tim Tsui.

So I'm really curious on how I can become a toy designer myself. I've got no knowledge on how and who to approach to present my ideas to. I'm undertaking the Visual Effects & Motion Graphic course in my school and I do have a strong foundation in the Adobe softwares to illustrate my ideas. Other than that, I'm lost. I do not know how to continue. Any help or advice?

There's a very good sub-forum here- http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10m that covers this topic. You may find some useful info participating there. Good luck!!

Maybe a little sly advertising there. But a cool link, liked it on facebook. Sculpture forum would be the best place as mentioned earlier, hope you find what you're after.

Hey! Thanks a lot guys for the respond! Sorry I wasn't able to reply soon as I was away. The links are great! Really appreciate it!

But...I'm a little confused. This is a little silly though..

Sculptures are made of materials like clay, aren't they? But the Designer Toys I'm referring to are more like smooth plastic. Are they developed the same way?
