    @revenebo - thanks!

I have just noticed that someone has given me stars. Thank you so much whomever it was, am honoured - how unexpected!

I have posted my first go at acrylic below! I really enjoy painting. It was frustrating at first, and I HATED the brushes I bought (ordered online, didn't get to see them...) as they are really rough and not accurate -I like tight detail and I just couldn't control the brushes. I went out in person and bought new brushes and am much happier.

    2. first acrylic painting! Sucking hard, but enjoying it. Having issues with the brushes...

    3. gal from imagination and lots of head studies - frustrating day!

    4. more head studies. Still finding the human form incredibly frustrating.

    hi

I use acrylic on paper too. But I applay it over watercolor washes. I love your birds.
My Blog or My Sketchbook would benefit from your comments.

The acrylic is looking good, it looks like you have got more control over details and knowledge about how it behaves now, if you compare it to the first few tests.
..aaand hopefully Diablo will be here really really soon! Don't even try to resist. Ha ha.

My oh my, I have missed so much being away,
I forgot about the secret hidden key to your artcellar of
beautifulness. You made that traditional bird to come alive,
just like a star on a Christmas sky. I admire the way you
captured his mystic look and expression through the wet branches.
As you did your pencil head studies, there was no discussion about
not improving, cause you did advanced to the next stage, and you
have stepped into this new division with a huge statement. I sense
the urge and power, as your head shape and position understanding
has grown from small to large. Some of the heads looks just like
Bass Rutten’s head and I think that I will mail him your sketchbook
link , and he will be proud. I barely have the courage to talk
about your female breast drawings and renderings, cause my voice
and hands start to shake in a big trembling fashion. Sometimes
I get so excited even with a small glance on such splendid
subjects as you can provide. I have subscribed for Michael
Jackson’s kingdom stock part, and if I get something from
that money, I will pay you every month just to draw me
some pair of female breasts each day. I would like
them to look different, mixed larger ones and smaller
ones, symmetrical and non symmetrical. Oh, I am
so excited, that I just cannot describe it now. Please
take care, and avoid any danger on the street, cause
I want to stay in contact with you, for a long long time.

Hey thx for the sketchbook visit, first off lovely bird paintings, the colours are lovely. My crit for you would be to make sure when you are studying the planes of objects to really pay attention to them, as they are how you will remember the complete solidity of the object. Remember that they aren't just to determine where the light will be hitting, they are used to find contour lines as where a plane changes there is an edge and if the face is on the a certain angle that will appear as the contour line. Proportions are getting better, just keep pushing at them and study Loomis as I think I saw that you were in some drawings above. Good work and keep it up .

Hey Ally, nice to see you still working hard, your work is definitely improving For your drawings, try to get everything done in one stroke, at first you'll be slower but it will really help you with your accuracy, proportions etc.

Might be worth getting yourself some tracing paper and sticking it over your drawings to correct their proportions, it will help you remember where you went wrong the first time and give you something to look back at for reference.

Hope that helps, keep up your hard work

Good to see you updating regularly!
Man I really like your figure studies. Getting better and better with anatomy.
Now I really wanna go drawing figures. Sadly I'm at work so need to wait a bit.

For something to crit, I think that you place breasts a little too high on some of you're figures. But that's just some of them. Also on this latest portrait I think the mouth is on different "level" than eyes. I mean that the eyes are a little tilted but the mouth isn't. I make the same mistake myself really often. That's why I nowadays usually start by making these guidance-lines before anything else to help me see how tilted the facial features are and in what direction.
Also I think the chin and ears are a little bit too small. But good for you playing with photoshop, it can be really fun Keep updating!

    @Egg0 - thanks!

@Satu - thanks, and yeah, I def have an issue with boobs being too high. That last pic was done last thing at night in a half asleep stupor - I was just thrilled it looked slightly human

@Lightship69 - thanks hon, and yes - I have written a book! I went the self-published route, but it is out there in all it's glory, ready to be read. Writing the next one inbetween drawing. I haven't overtaken J. K. Rowling in sales yet - but it's something else I am planning on building up over the next few years The link is in my footer!

    And girls should have curves!

I do go insane when you paint those females
with a bit over hanging their standard weight, and
mashing sacks around their saggy breasts. I got inspired
to do a Michael Caine painting, a flash standard behavior
went through my motivational savior. Nothing special I guess,
and that has absolutely nothing to do with America, cause
there they are eat their youngs. A quick passionate feeling
can be felt through your things, and I just found out that
the darkest hour never comes at night. Nothing creative
I can say now my dear, cause I had drunk too much goat
milk. And the goat was old. I like the Gang Gang painting also,
the next version should be a Gang Bang Gang.
I like everything you do lately.

    One more for tonight.

Full of gin and tonic and about to watch Pirates of the C 2. Can't think of a better way to spend Saturday night other than drawing - but my back is really sore so have to finish up for tonight!

    It's a self portrait; kinda.
It does look like me, sort of, but still not right at all. Too much emphasis on the cracks n creases and it's probably me in 20 years time from staring at the damn computer all night. Doesn't help that I only have one really dodgy light source here. Shall try another one tomorrow!

Starting to really get the feel for Photoshop! I always used to use Painter, for its blending, Photoshop just frustrated me, but starting to gettit now.... and loving the journey.

Quickie from imagination and a self portrait. Looking better. Turned into a bit more of a skin tone and blending study so lost its way a little, but had a couple of breakthroughs on this one.
