Hey,

Sargent study and having some fun discovering oils with a quick still-life of some eggs, plums and a skull and a portrait of my friend being dumb heh. All done recently for school.
went to london zoo - nice and quiet (and rainy) :I
two portraits done in oils - bottom most one has some real problems. Mainly that right eye with it drifting off and being a tad too large but I can't quite figure out what else is up with the face hurrm
I really stress out when doing guesteures about that time limit sighh. Also a study-ish thing which highlights my need for looking at feet and hands.
First two are self-portraits. Never tried one before so the first is my first try with a mirror propped up at my workspace, oils on cardboard and the second has had a lot more time spent on it mainly in the sketching department heh. Also actually had a chair and a mirror which I don't have to hold up which made things a lot easier! A quick paint sketch on Styrofoam next, followed by some screen still studies.
Didn't do much today - debating about colouring the model herself but I sort of like it like this.
Two small pieces for a website I do work for and a real quick snake.
Finished the self-portrait I had started. Needs to be left to dry and touched up and repainted in some areas but pretty happy as I binged painted it today for handing in tomorrow.
its superb...thats too at 16... god knows what u kids wants to do...
really nice.. keep going.. all the best...
Whaaaaaat?
I'm sure I commented here!
Well.
Miss, your art is bloody brilliant. Your paintings show a good understanding of flesh and form that I certainly didn't have last year, or even now. xD
I honestly don't have any crits to give, just keep on working hard as you are- and experimenting, and your progress will continue.
Keep up the good work, hope to see more soon.![]()
@Nitish Kumar: Thank you! Will try to keep up the work!
@Naidy: Thank you! Doesn't feel like a have a great understanding but trying to smuggle myself into some life drawing classes in order to help with that. Yeah I'm always trying to get my hands on new media as well as my teachers making me work on some crazy stuff sometimes like glass and sand. Will keep up the work!
Study of Sven Dufva due to a friend giving me a sparkly sketching pen. + pastels! Never really used them before - the cockatiel is seeing how they layer over pen [not very well] so the subsequent fanart of Wiccan is less pen-planned.
Nice colours in those last two there, and I like the linework in the top too. Those done with reference? Either way they're all looking good.
Ahhh, your stuff makes me feel lazy, I'll have to start upping my game. xD
your colour stuff is awesome, I like the vivid skintones
@Naidy: Yeah the linework one is a study of Sven Dulfva by Albert Edelfelt, cockatiel done using a photo off DA and the Wiccan was done using a healthy combo of imagination and some general pose references heh Bah, you get too much done dude! xD You make ME feel lazzzy
@Zeitwolf: Thanks dude! heh I love my colours, gotta' work on toning them down sometimes
Didn't do much other than school-art this week (which explains the studies - my teachers go nuts for them heh) so uploading some naff stuff done whilst at school so sorry for the lined paper :C
Otherwise an oil pastel (woah oil pastels are kinda freaky) study of Phil Hale with a little oil paint on top and a pastel study of one of Jenny Saville's.
Wow that oil SP is incredible!! It's my favorite piece in here so far, keep up the studies but don't let it hinder your imagination.
stop by my book sometimei hope to see a lot from you in the future!!
Good painting and color works, work some more on line though it is too simple and equal. Weight of line gives volume and depth in both sketches and paintings. Try to focus on that.

Ahhh I'm really loving those colour works. Pluss I see another superhero- nightwing is it?
Either way, you make me really want to draw superheroes. Used to read comics all the time, funny how none of that ever translated in my style... You however, you have a nice crisp sort of style which becomes apparent in your pastel works and pen stuff. I really like it.
Anyways, I have the feeling you're going to be brilliant in a few years, just remember to keep on working though. No matter how good you get, you need that drive to go further so as to keep your creativity alive.
@BradWhite: Heh, mine I guess? I have a bad habit of both muddying my colours and getting grubby fingerprints all over white paper heh - Thanks for visiting my sb!
@Dope Fiend: Hoping to work more like that in the future - large scale and more time devoted to pieces I mean. Haha trying to do both is difficult! Thanks!
@Moonrage: I think I've started to understand what you mean, will definitely consider that in my future works - thanks!
@Naidy: Yep a little Nightwing sneaked in! Don't have any superheroes lately :C Need to draw them some more heh. Haha yeah I've noticed I'm always attracted to anything with lots of black/white and that general starkness that comics typically have about them hurrm not sure whether that's good or bad.
Right, been a naughty girl and not updated this - did I ever mention how much I hate school? sighh
Done a lot though heh but some needs to be scanned yet so I'll update this further tomorrow or so.
First two done from life, next is a portrait of a friend, a queztacoatal sneaked in, hawk in Painter from a photo and a environment from life.
Portraits looking good as usual and I really like the queztacoatal, the line work on it really makes it stand out.
Hhhhhhghhh I only have good things to say about your stuff. No crits yet, just keep up the good work.
And update moorreeeee.
Amazing work here! You're bloody brilliant for your age.![]()

@Naidy: I was trying to see how "graphic" I could make pastels, half-way through kinda got bored I decided to acrylic over all the darks in it. Hopefully I'll be doing more work soon for school so I should have plenty of updates :')
@Umbravita: Thanks dude!
@Rain Walker: I'm almost 17 if that makes you feel any better heh. Yeah, I totally do love squished up faces.
Managed to get myself on a life drawing class though it only runs for the 3 three weeks and due to it being an hour long we just get one drawing done, trying to find another though - they seem few and far between. Result of yesterday's class first, a figure from imagination [was kinda doodling] and some school work oh and a weird crocodile guy who I draw a lot.
this is incredible.. u almost draw on everything and with every medium... ur not afriad to go wild with ur art... great job.. keep on shinning![]()

You know that you`re awesome and your work is incredible. Nao enjoy being role model and be generous to feed some more.
You look somewhat old on self-portraits and i cant rly understand why.
Take good care.

Painting on different materials, eh?
I really want to try something like that out sometime. Some really nice stuff, as usual.
Keeeeeeeep iiiiiiiiiiiiit uuuuuuuuuuuup!![]()
@RainWalker: Haha in all honesty it's because my school/A-Level course really digs "pushing the boundaries" or something like that :I Also being real skint and not having any paper helps heh usually drawing on scraps of cardboard and CD's or stuff unless I can beg paper off a friend
@Liberty: Yeah I still really struggle with my self-portraits - in capturing a likeness that is. I usually make myself obese or aged heh but that's something to definitely improve on - thanks :')
@Naidy: Haha only cause my school forces me to + the fact I never usually have any paper on me. Not sure if you're taking the same A Level course as me [are you taking Art?] but they seem to love crazy stuff like painting on sinks heh - thanks!
A quick oil painting that I'm working from, kinda half from imagination and reference. Next three are stuff from life drawing class [I think I have a problem with head sizes in comparison to the body?] - anyways crits on my lifedrawings will be especially appreciated since those are what I'm aiming to improve the most :') + a Superboy before bed
i love to see more oil its my favorite subject so far.. as for ur life drawing i have one small comment .. try to vary ur line weight... what i mean with this is .. try to make heavy lines where there is shadow ..and light lines where its light ... this will give it more life and it will look more realistic..
i love to do everything and learn everything... i hate to be cornered in one place.. i believe u can be anything u want... Your mind is limitless... check out my sketchbook ... u will find a bit of everything

@RainWalker: Haha yeah I'd like to do more oils! I need to find time for them or at least be able to comfortably sketch-paint in them. Ah okay I'll look out for that in my next lifedrawing! Does it help express weight to the pose/piece as well?
Did some more to that oil sketch, a school piece that I'm working on (I forget how much I like coloured pencils heh) and a commission.
Hi there, your work is great! The self portraits especially... And that's really cool you're trying out different mediums-papertowel..haha, but it looks cool! Makes me want to do some oil painting again..it's been too long.
I love the cockatiel pic as well, had a couple myself![]()
