Just started watching The Structure of Man figure drawing lessons @ www.alienthink.com. Eventually going to buy the full video set, the free lessons have helped me with human proportions a lot already.

Good studies! Also like seeing you attempting mecha, hard subject but worth it! I must become good at that someday! Also 4chin lol
Dude! These sketches from #10 are awesome! And the ballpoint pen control on #7,really beautiful!
Thanks Gibi! Here's a quick sketch and a not so quick sketch I did the other day. Used iphone 3gs to take pictures..scanner still seems to be on strike.
-edit- yes, first guy has very awkward hand![]()
Hey there's an interesting style going on here. I like the vibe I get from this last post (the image that's now your avatar)... funkayy
keep drawing!
isokarhu, thanks! I was in a funky mood lol.
Here's 2 more. Shaun White has been posted in the finally finished forums, but I like how it came out so I'm putting it here. It was my final project for Introduction to Graphic Design, I'm turning it in today actually.
The water color was my final for Drawing 2 last semester, we bought pictures of kids in 3rd world countries (for charity), replicated them onto canvas using any medians we wanted, then mailed them to the kid. It was my 2nd watercolor I've ever done.
Hey!
Welcome to the most awesome forum! Cool sketches you got there.
You can get avatar for your thread, editing 1st post and attaching image to it (with attachment manager).
Also if you want to add comment to each image you attach, during preparing the post you can use the paperclip (can find between other buttons, like bold, italic etc.) to put picture into the text.
Good luck and keep drawing each and every day, that's the way to awesomness![]()
JUST GOT MY 24HD! ITS SO COOL! This is my first speed painting EVER! I just did a simple character design to get a feel for the tablet. Here it is, more to come very soon!
Another quick sketch playing with color.
Besides some school work for drawing and design classes.. I rarely finish anything. I'm trying to break that habit, and build a nice portfolio.
Here is a big project (20x10 300dpi) I've started, and am dead set on completing if it kills me.
At this point I feel stuck.. Any help or suggestions would be awesome! Thanks.
Wow seems like that tablet has really been treating you well there!

Good tutorial on Digi painting and in general info.
You might want to plop in the values first before blending. If you blend too much with opacity your stuff starts to look all messy and muddy. Flatten and simplify.
That's a great link for me cause I want to try to study a little bit DP !
Nice hatching, I really like your profile picture, good start with the DP it looks interesting,
cause I want to try it too !

*critique* advice* help full links, is appreciated*
Try basing your drawings from imagination completely from reference. Doing this keeps things interesting and at the same time you learn something. An example is to take a box and draw it. Then draw something that fits inside this box, such as a book or school bag. This helps with learning perspective. Or you can draw your phone, and add your own designs such as to make it sci-fi or steam punk.
To learn anatomy, one way is to draw real people from photos, then use an anatomy book to draw the underlying muscles after you have drawn the outline of the people.

What's up, man. Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I should've responded here instead of my own thread. Anyways, nice sketchbook you got here and nice updates...if you ever wanted get a sketch group going or something, let me know...I'm always down for meeting new people.

Awesome sketchbook, nice tech concepts. I noticed though that it looks like you have a tendency to make bodies wider in the torso. It works if you are going for a body builder type person. Maybe its just me though.
