Thanks you!

Will have to fix eye if I do more with it.

Getting a bit more into a consistent drawing/sketching routine now.
Figured I'd sketch an update of Close up Bob Face since its been a month or so since I started drawing them. Still constantly changing things on them and almost call my characters...just not happy enough with any of them yet.

So, my Drawing II professor's insistence on using construction for still lifes has finally made its way into other things.
It took longer to get my scanner working than it did to do this...
Im still super pissed at the scanner for cutting the bottom of te feet off. I'll rescan it later, with whole feet.

Hey there. I'm really impressed with the amount of progress, in particular there was a pretty big leap in one year in the earlier pages. It's also great that you're pushing through the drawings despite school and health and all that, that's very inspiring.
I think, at this point, that there's no problem with simply keeping on as you're doing, but in my own opinion the way you are going to see fastest experience and improvement is to take a pause for a bit and identify your endpoint. Do you want to be a professional at art or is it mainly a hobby? There is no right or wrong answer, but if your answer is the first, then I think you should start exposing yourself to a wider range of styles. Pick up some 'Art of' books, especially from Pixar and Dreamworks, start looking at other cartoonists' blogs, start creating a folder either on your computer or a literal binder and save all images you find that really inspire you. You have great potential, but I think to improve faster you need to get out there and see what else exists. Please don't take this the wrong way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with drawing cat people, but again, if it is a hobby, draw away! If you desire to become a professional at character animation or design, then you need to broaden your horizons.
That said, again, you do have a TON of potential. Keep drawing and great work!
^ What he said.
Nice progress here. I like your last few figure/character drawings, keep on working hard!![]()
art is never finished, only abandoned~Leonardo da Vinci
Thank you. And yup, no offense taken, I really do need to draw more types of characters than the people + animal bits. I'd really like one day to do this as a professional and have grabbed a bunch of print outs of various artists.(No Money to get the actual art books) Moebius, Frank Frazetta, Alessandro Barbucci, Barbara Canepa, Joe Madureira and it the list goes on. I am just largely failing to break from this hyper-focus (Largely because I start writing stories form them in my head non-stop) that gets me stuck on drawing the same character over and over. The only time I seem to break outta that is when doing designs for my friends. But I think your post has given me an idea on treating this habit of mine.
Imma go buy a buncha' binders and label them via genre/theme (Sci-Fi, Pulp, Fantasy, etc) and try my best to do a new design for the each one every week!
Thank You Again.
Here are two of the things I did a couple days ago for my Pen and Paper RPG Group. Usually I just give them away before scanning them.

Too a break fro drawing to study some for my Psycho Courses. Got me thinking about old Sanitariums and Asylums.
Done surprisingly Quickly, for me at least, though forgot to construct much beyond some lines for the head and spine.

Hmm...
While I do agree with the other posters regarding your paltry amount of technical studies; it seems that you have some decent color sense.

Yes, Still need to go do proper technically studies. But just focusing on getting myself to draw again with regularity.
And thank you for the compliment.
