I second Bishop2004. Your armor studies are ridiculous. Quit putting yourself down your stuff kicks ass.

Your thread description is seriously misleading; your art more than fits in here! I looooveeee your brushstrokes and handling of form. Its sooo good and painterly, definitely what I am aiming for. Also your value control is just gorgeous. I'll be keeping an eye on this sketchbook and your work, it's very inspiring.
One thing though, more imagination work! I don't think I am in a position to give you advice, but please don't fall into the trap of doing nothing but studies. I'd love to see how these studies translate to the work you do from mind

Sorry for the extreme drop in artistic quality, but here's a quick drawing of Bob Ross.

It's funny, I dislike my brushstrokes/lack of them, but thank you.
My from-imagination works are horrible (As you can see), which is the main reason I don't particularly think I'm good enough. Working on it though.

Someone is rather pessimistic and I am in awe of your work. I'd like to believe that this is just an act of extreme modesty for you're very talented.

Heck I'd say some of these "studies" are more like finished work if you ask me, but that's just me. You far surpass my capabilities.

Excellent work! I am particularly fond of the armor "studies."

Wow, your studies are quite impressive, there isn't much to criticize. I would only suggest to keep challenging yourself in order to improve. I noticed also that you seems to stick to the basic PS brushes which is very good. I see so many using textured brushes when it isn't that necessary in the picture. One question, do you colour pick the colours of your ref study (if a photo) or do you try to guess them? Actually two questions... Do you have a link for your phot-ref studies??? Stay motivated and never give up!!

I try to avoid posting these doodles here, but I don't want to post without an image so, here we are.

@Grimtooth : I can't really comment on the whole pessimist / modest thing, I just look at my work with a very objective, and highly critical eye. I'm not at a level I'd like to be, so I just need to keep improving and practicing.

@berniebakari : Sorry about that, I'd like to wish you happy painting though. God bless, and goodbye my friend.

@patram : I choose colours by eye, colour-picking them would just defeat the purpose in my opinion.
As for links, I just save all these images as I find them, I'll try to remember to provide links for references used from now on though.

@Everyone else : Thank you very much.

The still life and bob ross are looking really sweet. But you crashed your mobile phone, are you aware of that? It would be so funny to be so concentrated on lines and shapes so you don't notice it, haha. Keep up the great work, really nice sb!

Awesome work dude! Your renderings are very strong. And don't worry about the drop, for me it is also good, because i can see how you think. Gotta learn a lot just seeing how different artist deal with the problem solving. Keep it up!
