The style reminds me of guild wars 2 a bit. Are you inspired by their concept art?

You know, I never did understand exactly how people get their ideas for this type of art and design. I always feel like if I find references, and take even bits and pieces, then I'm not creating anything original, or even with a somewhat fresh feel. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on this one too.

That said, I see some great stuff posted here - especially the fire colossus - insanely cool! But I reiterate - how do folks come up with the ideas for stuff like ethat?
