Wow Great environments love the the mood
especially the snow scene is great, I almost feel cold when watching it.
Is the anatomy greyscale from bridgeman I seem to have seen it before ( the legs ) looks great though and since i recall it you must have nailed it spot on
    Great sketchbook man Keep going

nice work lately man! those forest enviros and that castle city are really top notch, keep it up. the gouache is looking real good too. my only advice is to paint thicker (less water, more straight out of the tube color) as you progress with a painting. you will end up with richer colors as you build up your painting. you can treat it like watercolor in the early block in stages as you have now, but just remember to keep building it up with thicker paint. hope this helps and good luck! don't stop making awesome work

    wasabi89: Thanks, bro. I'll try.
DK_sketch: hahaha, that's awesome. Thanks a lot. Gotta love Bridgman
for dat rythm, dat feel, dem strokes. So good.
Eightball_: My main man! I love the gouache, but I only have like, the three
primary colors and white. And black. So taking it straight from the tube
gets really hard for me. But I'll try though. Thanks!
Psychobuddy: That's absolutely wonderful of you to say. Thanks.

I have some stuff now. new portfolio piece. Gettin' back to the old ways, somewhat.
I'm also ashamed of having no camera, so those traditional pieces will have to wait. For a long time...

CommandoFilis: Thanks, man. And yes, yes I did. Funky lighting there, and colors are all weird,
so while I gave up on actually replicating them for now, the values were fun as shit.

whassup dude it's your main man here. the portfolio piece is awesome! and the landscapes are so heavy in mood. the studies are from prometheus right? and it's pretty impressive you're mixing only the three primary colors in gouache. if you really wanna dive into it though try investing in more colors. though in theory you can mix every color in the universe with the three primaries, that's only if it's actual light. unfortunately paint is pigment and too much mixing just creates mud. most artists work with a wide spectrum of tube colors.

keep up the awesome work! always looking forward to more

Eightball_: Thanks a lot, man. The studies are from Prometheus; lots of things wrong with that movie, but the
cinematography was not one of them. The gouache stuff is from just the three primaries, yeah. It's hard to not
desaturate all the colors completely. Oh man, hard, but rewarding. I keep mixing them with watercolors with
great success so far. I can't afford any more, actually. I have, no matter how you look at it, No money whatsoever.
Thanks for stopping by again, bro.

Holy mother of... Oh god, my internet. It hurts. It literally, physically hurts me.
You cannot imagine the agony involved in trying to update this. Oh god.

So, right, I'm doing commissions from Here now.
Half of the money gets donated to a couple indie game developers by the name of Tarn and Zach Adams.
The other half goes to me, because, well, I have no money for anything, paint even.
I'd also like to put some into savings.

Other than that going on, I have some stuff I just did,
aside from a pretty big commission I'm working on right now.

It just says a whole lot about how far I've actually come. It feels like I've never actually progressed
at all right now, just looking at that fucking tree right there. Hnnnghhh

hey man killer sketchbook you have in here, i think i recognize this ultimate and never ending battle with consistency you are having and really its a common problem, in times of panic what one normally turns is to your "method" yknow that way of working that you have gradually polished trhough bleeding hours of studies and understandings of the world, and i tell you this because is in here that i think you could do some polishing, consciouslly think about how you go around painting a tree, or a face or a body and think where youc and o shit differently everyones different its all about self meditation and knowing how you do things, great to see your hard work, buckle down and destroy your doubts and expand you visual library and study new things cant wait to see your future work you have talent dude, at least i believe so after taking my time to write such a reply hahaha anyways good luck, will be back when you post new stuff hang in there!!

lionheartGFX: Thanks, man. It gets weird sometimes with painting, especially if you feel like you fell in a rut at some point.
The important thing is to get out as fast as possible by doing something new.
Thanks for stopping by and cheering me up.

    Just did some quick stuff.
Mostly quick. I recorded the dwarf, so that'll be fun.

Been away for a while dealing with some work stuff. Also, somewhat a large amount of commissions...for me at least.

And, yeah. I've been doing obscene amounts of watercolor/gouache paintings though, most of which you will almost
    certainly never see, sadly enough.

I'll try to update twice a week at least. I need to make more shit, damnit!

you have improved your value range recently, painting epiphany much? anyways amazing work as always dude your faces from imagination have improved but your perspective needs a bit polishing, yknow when doing a scene with many characters the horizon line must pierce them all at the same level? or atleast around there the only discrepancy its height if a figure its taller the horizon is a but lower but that its not true in your last peace, do your homework and read a bit and you should fix it rather quickly, also keep in mind proportion, you have gone quite a way keep it up!!

Eightball: Thanks man, that's way too much of a compliment. Way more than I deserve. I wish I had your strong fundamentals!
I don't do nearly as much right as I should. Oh man.

Lionheart: Thanks to you too, and you're absolutely right. Most of the mistakes I made was because
of my poor understanding of perspective and other things. I've spent some time to fix them, and subsequent paintings
have been much better, although still not failure free. Soon, I'm going to go into a straight up hardcore mode on fundamentals,
trying to pry open my brain and force it full of anatomy, perspective and other fundamental knowledge!
    Thanks for lookin'!

Xiv: Thanks, broski, I'm most assured you'll get wherever you're aiming if you work hard!

You guys, uh, I don't know what to say, other than "thank you!" heh.
I've been having trouble being able to find time to paint, actually,
and the only time I really have is once a week, to paint an intricate gouache painting.
I've got around 20 of 'em hanging around somewhere, and I'll scan them when I can get a hold of them,
otherwise, the shit you see here is it. This is what I paint. That's it, all of it.
Makes me so sad, sometimes... but, there is hope! I'll get some time to paint soon!
    Real soon.

Great stuff! Your environments look great. Right now, I'd say you should try to control your edges more. Also you could push your values. Anyway great stuff so far, so keep it up.
