It is highly unlikely that this will happen. It makes no sense in view of Israel's political goals.

Whoever wrote this was pretty dumb. And Eretz Israel wouldnt be dumb to engage in a war that would lead to conflict with every nation that surrounds it.

Aside from the questionable source, how exactly would Israel attack Iran?

On land they've got Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Jordan all in the way. By sea they'd have to go through Egypt's waters plus circle around Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. About all Israel could do is some long range strikes, which would be sufficient to piss off all of it's neighbors and start another seven days war.

Israel attacking Iran is just plain silly.

Israel is highly unlikely to attack unless provoked and even when provoked they only eliminate the eminent threat and then go back to their own business. Although, I wouldn't doubt that Iran, Egypt, and Syria attack Israel first since they us propaganda to spread hate towards da Jooooooooooos. What has Israel done to counter this? By creating a relative peaceful society made up of all of the Abrahamic religions. Not much can be said about any other Middle Eastern countries and their tolerance towards other faiths. Anyone up to date about the mass murders of the Coptic Christians, Pakistan and Iran Christians, or aware of the fact that there are zero Churches or Synagogs in Saudi Arabia? Yet Israel is the only democratic nation in the Middle East and the only Middle Eastern nation that treats all of its people with civility and liberty.

Israel is the last country to declare war because they are trying to create peace, beginning within the boarders of their own nation. However, if brought to war, they're bound to bring one hell of a fight. If any Middle Eastern nations declares war on Israel they must not be aware of their history; remember the Six-Day War?... Yeah, 'nuff said.

I wouldn't panic. There's always a plan to invade iran, but nobody ever does because there's nothing solid to justify it and we obviously can't hold a middle eastern country. This isn't the first time this idea has been seriously spit balled. Even GWB had to be the voice of reason at one point.

BTW Aljazeera is not the Fox news of the middle east. They're like the AP of the middle east. If you've ever watched it, then you know they don't take sides. They only cover the who, what, when and where. I honestly trust them more than any American press, because there is no political motivation. The middle east has some fucked up news sources, but aljazeera is not one of them.

I wonder how many people who accuse Al Jazeera of propaganda have actually watched it. In my (admittedly limited) experience, they are just about the only news channel worth watching, if for no other reason than that they continuously report actual news. With all the other channels, whenever I get there, there's soccer on.

Anyway, lucky for me my TV gave up the ghost. I find I don't miss it and don't plan on getting a replacement, unless Israel invades Iran - I don't think I could resist the fireworks. ;-)

I suppose I could scour the internet and put together a pretty good argument for the bias of the BBC, AFP and Aljazeera as against Israel. (I think googling "pallywood" would be a good start).

But, sticking with "the facts in evidence" as to this thread, I don't see how Aljazeera's giving a soapbox to a George Soros surrogate ginning up fear against Israel really shows an objective, neutral and non-political stance that enhances its credibility!

But, nowadays, Raoul Duke, I'm trying to steer myself away from protracted "somebody's wrong on the internet" type arguments-- interesting as they can be-- they're just not worth the time.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of Israel's foreign policy. They've probably raised the amount of hatred Arab nations harbor toward the U.S because of their policies and unwillingness to agree to a two state solution.
