    Beginner Sketchbook

Hi, Im new at this site; made sketchbook some days ago but realized i cant change the silly title. (sorry for occupying too much space in the site)
    Following previous sketchbook:
I scratched some time to draw, between some preparations and courses, I had to use the restoom time to study sketch. Noticed I have problems with drawing female anatomy, chest and long distance of the pelvis.

Err... If anyone is curious, I never had any relevant learning in art, asides from some cheesy classes at school and a home tutor some months ago, who now has stopped coming. So yes, a total begineer with few reference materials that wants to hopefully be able to do digital drawing+painting.

If anyone is kind enough to provide me aid, It would be much appreciated, and I promise I will follow any instruction to detail.

tl;dr: Newbie desperate for help in order to hopefully become digital artist

Some recent sketches. Took my drawing board near the window and tried to sketch some cars, buildings and random stuff lying around my house.

Wow, I´m amazed at how much material there exist in this site once you know the basics of CA´s navigation. Just went into posemaniacs to do the 30 second challenge and tried to do the best i could out of the pictures. 30 minutes or so for today, hopefully it will get better in time.

Sorry if I´m spamming too much in the sketchbook section by bumping my thread.

    Hey Vzheng,

I wouldn't worry about spamming, I bet you could update your thread every hour if you wanted and no one would mind.

I saw that you're using posemaniacs. If I may make a suggestion, you may want to try one of these two sites instead, http://lovecastle.org/draw/ http://www.pixelovely.com/gesture/figuredrawing.php as the posemaniacs figures are very stiff and rigid. Working from photographs of actual people will be easier and give you more accurate results.

You seem to have a very good understanding of anatomy and rendering. Good work
Check out my sketchbook: Anatomy Sketchbook
And please comment, even if you think it's terrible, tell me why . Or if you don't want to at least a "good work" would be motivating

Radicou: Good to know that I´m not annoying people with spam. Also thanks for the page! I´ll be sure to check on it tomorrow.

Mars: Thanks, I really hope It will get better though.

Also, can anyone help me answer this: I saw that people sketching with what they call the "overhand grip" and/or "underhand grip". I only sketch with the basic grip. So the question would be: would learning overhand/underhand help sketching in long term? or could anyone explain how they work?

On other news I got my hands on a wacom tablet. This was the first attempt to do grayscale painting. Getting to know the basics for painting was a big pain, as most results went in unexpected directions (for me). It is definitely not beginner friendly, but its the main reasons why it is a hell of a powerful tool. Any guidance on the amelioration of pen tool´s use, or the way I am painting, or even the form of the kid would be much appreciated.

Reference and my attempt were included.

My desktop is slowly but steadily piling up a stack of used sketch papers. Sketches are flying everywhere in my house and my parents are angry about it.

Anyways I tried drawing scripts and figure drawing tool, been used to drawing those for morning hand loosening exercises, so not gonna upload them every day but one or two every week/month.

Pics are assignments for a study group I´ve been recently. Be sure to check, comment, join or criticize, as people there are patient, understanding and fun.

Nothing much actually, some Loomis face stuff for now, and a ladies´s face I saw in a book. I have a very cheesy feeling about them somehow. A 4B pencil and mechanical HB were used.

Been busy all week with preparations for university; gonna arrive to the States next week.
