Thanks for the pixelovely link Bosque! It looks like a preferable alternative to posemaniacs.

Man I feel like I need some guidance on just how long I should spend on each of my speedpaints. I'm thinking of doing a few longer, more refined enviro studies instead of these short quick ones I've been posting lately so that I can (hopefully) learn how to push the quality of my enviros.

I am also seeing a distinct difference in contrast between my cintiq and my screen. Since people complain that my tones aren't always encompassing large ranges I think my Cintiq is not calibrated.

Some drawings of vegetation. This is much harder than I previously thought. I really want to get the hang of this.

Nice environments, its not something that comes naturally to me.
Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook, I'm more than happy to get crits on my work in progress. Obviously I'll have good cry afterwards but I want to take that work further so any advice is good.

Thanks for caring, No I haven't seen a doctor, the pain is there on and off, I think I'll be fine, good to see you've been working hard, as for the jungle paintings I don't have critiques however you might wanna check the chapter called "the green problem" in James Gurney's Color and Light A guide for the Realist Painter

Thanks for the crit on my WIP, a paintover could be helpful. I tried a couple of new comps but it still feels a bit off the mark.

Value studies have currently stopped. Well all studies have stopped because its exam time for my university. I'm not enrolled in an art degree, I'm in an engineering degree and I'm cramming for my engineering exams so there isn't much time to study art right now. . Once my exams are over I will try and get back on track with 3 to 4 hour hour studying (art) daily.

Great environment studies! but just echoing the others about atmospheric depth I think it would be also a much faster way if you just focused on a part to detail instead of doing it overall. Keep it up!

What you mean? I though it was better to paint overall, not too sure about this focusing on one particular part business.
And about the atmospheric depth thing its something I know about, its just that im trying to be really subtle. Perhaps this is not an effective way to go about it. I should do more enviro studies to get better grasp of how much to add with it.

For now, I want to do some daily vehicle design practice. Drawing Cars was one of my main weaknesses and I want to conquer it so I'm forcing myself to draw vehicles every day in my sketchbook and do one design in photoshop to upload to every day.
here is my 1st design in photoshop

I love your enviro studies, and this may be silly but I'd love to see more of your mlp drawings set in environments :3

    Thanks man!
In the future I'll probably make more. i enjoyed making them. I need to do some revision enviro studies though XD.

here is my car for today. I tried to carefully construct one like scott robertson but I screwed it up and after several frustrating attempts trashed it. Here is a quick litte sketch I did so I can still submit stuff every day. XD.

Something about the juxtaposition of careful mechanical construction with ~*PONIES*~ amuses the hell out of me. =D

I really like the cars in your latest post!

Man got home and had the time to rip out some studies. I usually hate drawing digital but for some reason I want to try being another George Guo. I gave a shot and man I need some practice. o _o.

Sorry if my bad perspective offends you.
