Greetings fellow CA members. I am a new member who is hoping to get more involved in the community and make some friends. Here are some studies.
I will try to keep you posted on some more of my stuff. .

I used reference from metart (Iga A), mjranum-stock.deviantart.com, VirnaLamour_Stock.deviantart.com , Playboy and jasonaaronbaca.deviantart.com for these following studies.

Lovely use of color. I'd be fascinated to see a finished image with a background. The top and third image, particularly, give an excellent feeling for the light falling on the various contours of the models' skin.

I usually don't spend more than 2 hours on a study because i don't believe that it is a vauable way to spend my time completing everything. These studies i wanted to get a grasp of skin tones and colours so i did a short burst of studies across several different lighting scenarios.

At this current time i feel like i have much to learn so I am sorry to say it might be a while before i release any "presentable" or "finished" pieces.

If from experience anyone thinks it would be more useful for a learning artist to do full pieces rather than these short incomplete pieces i would be willing to finish them up.

Personally I think you will learn more by working on your own piece and finishing it up without looking at reference than finishing any of these studies. The studies are still good to do to learn the subject matter and boost your skills, but at the end of the day what you can pull from your own head will be more valuable. Then when you screw something up you can go back and do more studies to fix the specific mistake rather than getting stuck doing studies for little purpose. 2 hours is enough time for a study, even quicker is better. How much information can you get down in a 15 minute speed painting?

The paintings are rendered quite well and you have nice forms, but there are lots of proportion mistakes in your studies. For example the last one has either the head too big or the arm is too small. In most the arm looks small. 4th one looks the best. Hopefully you're reading the Loomis books or some sort of anatomy book too? Well keep up the studies and do forget to do your own stuff too.

Nice studies. They look pretty classical actually. I think you should use the pen tool to make some nice hard edges on some of the forms to really bring the figure out of the background.

Nice skin tones. could use just a little work on the faces. The nose, eyes and mouth seem to be a bit not were they supose to be.

Yes i noticed that the proportions where all over the place. It's something i need to get better at, at the time i didn't think it would be that critical to capture the same proportions in my studies as i just wanted to look at the skin tones. I didn't correct them because i thuoght it would be a waste of time and Whenever i want to study the proportions i usually do pencil studies.

Oh and for the last one the elbow is supposed to be foreshortened into the background but i didnt finish rendering the bottom half of that pic so it looks wrong. XD.

I do look at andrew loomis and burne hoggarth.

Heyyyy you paint nice boobies, just though I'd say, the way you did the shadows on the first girl. so good. I like your color choices when it comes to skin tones. You use a good variety of color. Your landscapes are good too, If I could crit and give some advice, work on value and color with those landscapes more. Just remember the sky isn't just blue, and the grass isn't just green... So basically apply what you do with skin tone to your landscapes Nice work overall so far, keep it going >8D

The environments came out well! I'd suggest constructing the atmospheric composition more, and be careful where you add details. I'm looking at this last envo for example, and i see lots and lots of details in the back, but very few in front. And there is no fog or anything indicating that there should be less details. So my mind is telling me there is something wrong.
I've found this quite helpful when it comes to atmosphere and composition. Colour scheme as well. Perhaps it'll be useful to you as well.

Regarding your figures, i like your style. Colours are worm and welcoming as well. But i don't feel like it's always skin. It would be more interesting with a bit of blue or green or more yellow or more red in certain parts. Our skin has such great variation!

Anyway, great sketchbook start and i hope you have many more pages to come!

Yeah I'm planning to do the bottom study right from the start all over again. The fore and back ground just don't look like they're seperated in distance. My experience at making my own custom brushes and using them is low, the last piece was predominantly me experimenting with brushes.

Holy smokes! Your digital painting skills are gorgeous! I am totally LOVING those backgrounds... ('cept that fall picture's colors are a little too bright for my tastes) Love the way you draw girls, too!

I think the first girl you drew without reference looks great, but there's something about the second one I don't like.. I think it's the shading and the way you drew her clothing. Third girl (in the armor, sorta chibi-ish thing going on) looks great though.

I really like the skin tones on the first post. It just makes me soo happy! Great work, just keep pushing your values. I notice some of your posts have a small value range. Try doing some still life drawings in graphite or charcoal and really try to capture all the different tones you see.

Your coloring and imagination are your obvious strengths. Your Colors are so smooth, controlled, and beautiful indeed. You landscapes are quite good as well. However you seem to be struggling with proportion in the figure at times, so I would suggest a quantity of quick studies as opposed to quality, at first anyhow. Do some gestures and while you work hold up your pencil and physically measure out proportions and look at the angles and alignment in the figure this will help train your eyes to see these things instinctively. Keep up the wonderful work!

Yeah my Figure drawing looks weak, but I believe the weakest aspect of my art which needs patching up is enviro painting, so I'm going to keep doing enviro studies for a while before i get back into figure drawing.

Hey Saurabhinator!
If you haven't checked out posemaniacs or pixelovely I recommend you do. It helps with figure studies a bunch!
Also when doing environment studies one thing to keep in mind is atmospheric perspective. As things recede towards the back, they lose contrast and become lighter in color.
