The values on this post really grabbed my attention! Those are really good![]()
The rest is also cool, I would suggest maybe putting those characters in illustrations or adding some sort of background.
Great sketchbook, keep up the good work!
Thank youe-nat, I keep trying to do backgrounds but I'm rubbish, haha. I'll try.
5 minute sketches, photo refs from http://www.pixelovely.com/gesture/figuredrawing.php
i wish people made space combat games still so i had an excuse to get really good at drawing spaceships
Howdy Howdy! Glad to see you starting a new SB, you've got some pretty solid work in here! Good character designs and concepts, and it was cool seeing mr.scar-eye translated into 3D. No real crits, though sometimes theres a bit of a disconnect between the heads and the bodies of your figures , also , i'd like to see some more dynamism pushed into your poses, i know they're mainly just concept designs and such to get an idea across, but a little more "oomph" would make things really shine.
Cool beans, hope to see more soon! Oh, I'd like to see some tradition pencil and paper scans as well, gives us a real idea of your strengths and weaknesses since there's no digital undo's and fixes on paper to hide things. Keep it up!
Thank youYou're 100% right about the dynamism - I do try but not very successfully, I'm not sure why I find it so difficult. I'm workin' on it.
I've gotten out of the habit of keeping a sketchbook, which is awful. I've got some untouched ones lying about so yeah I'll get myself back into the habit!
I am super bad at anything not organic. So, baby steps. Baby spaceship steps. I had to look up a 2 point perspective tutorial, it is embarrassing. At least I am learning, i guess
A background and someone sitting down? Holy cow!
hmmmmmmmmm
STALKER2 needs ladies and none of that hotpants-in-the-apocolypse bullshit
at the moment i seem to only have the attention span of one episode of "Don't Tell the Bride" and that's just terrible
bits and bobs
dum de dum
Awesome work Liz, you've improved so much since I last checked out your old sketchbook.
Hey Liz, great sketchbook. I particulary like your ship designs, I have always stuggled with industrial design. I have a lot of respect for those who can do it very well, like yourself.
Keep the great updates coming.
Always looking for feedback, so feel free to stop by any of these, cheers.
