17 yrs so critique me HARD!!!!!

    -and wadup.

This is my second sketchbook and I welcome you all. I'm just a 17 year old kid who loves to draw and whatnot, who (like most artists here) is looking to improve. I have loads of previous work I could post but I find that after each piece I tend to improve, so I always hate my previous pieces ]:

Anyhow here is a digital wip a few hours in and a penicl drawing. I'll post more soon and hopefully every 3 days but I was just eager to start a new thread, thus my lack of art at this stage. BUT DO COME BACK, ill post more soon

Also please critique me, SERIOUSLY! critque the crap out of me, but not just yet, maby next post when I have finished more pieces haha. BUT STILL COMMENT!

Also please help me with my less than large view count on Deviant art here: http://spideriser.deviantart.com/

Cheers and please come clickin' backin' ma sketchbook soon (:

    ^remember deviantart?.... hmmmm

coonage:Thankyou, glad you like it (:

Heres a piece that started out as a speedpaint but im now going to detail this baby out haha. Its a few hours in so I'v still got loads to finish but I thought I'd keep to my word and upload at least once every 3 days. I also have a load of studies and a few comics I did but havent scanned them yet, let me know if you wanna see them anyways (:

    Till next time.

    Jack Sparrow, Reference used.

Great detailing on pencil drawings! The portrait of Jack looks pretty damn realistic, however there are issues with edges.

Damn! You're unfairly good. I'll try my best not to burn my sketchbook because I doubt I can get this good by the time I hit 17.

    RAGE. Y u so good?! D:
I do believe this is my Sketchbook. Take a look, feedback and anything that will help is always appreciated!

Another quick update, your viewing these at 9% of the acctual size btw, cropings a bitch Also have a few sketches but im so very skilled at scanning so ill give them a miss. Enjoy.

Detailing out the top of the head so far, only bout 15% of the detailing is finished though, *sigh*. Still fun tho

I think he meant the use of edges to create focus and depth. In the sparrow piece there are a lot of sharp edges. Use sharp edges in the focus and soften them in unimportant areas. Same goes for Voldi so far.

And his teeth are too small right now.
Really good job on sparrow, I wish I could have done that when I was 17... so much lost time. T_T

    Hey there!
Nice stuff It feels like you're rushing into the details with some of these though, especially with the last one. It would be nice to see your base sketches before you start adding colour etc. Try doing some studies to help get your anatomy and expressions right

    Maybe this will help:

Nibrras: Good, another artist my age haha. For the pencil drawing I used no references, but I have the same style as the artist Dan "adonihs" Luvisi, So check him out (:

Jiina Thanks for the comment and the link (: I guess we all have different ways of painting and mine is to get the overall image, then hone into separate parts, I have a very random way of painting but cant help it

a pencil I started today, uploaded for Nebras viewing pleasure, stupid scanner washes out nearly all the pencil tho

and the lineart from my deadpool painting.

Some people ask me how I manage to improve fast. Without being arogent, its become im never happy with my work. EVER! I can see every single mistake I make. Everything that doesnt look perfect and I compare myself to the very best artists. It really gets to you after a while and although I continue to improve, I'm never happy until my artwork looks amazing, which in my eyes, never will. So if you want to know how I improve, thats how, but I wouldnt recomend it.

    further wip
