I'm gonna improve even if the mission comes first...

Edit:Yea I think it's time I change this up. Its been a while, but I plan to try and get at professional level or a least get to my max potential. I would love to hear criticism and thoughts.

Either way, thank you for taking the time to look at this Sketchbook. Please feel free to comment.

I'm amaze how easily one can get overshadow.

Yea, I think this is not going to work. I already wish I could go back to traditional media. I can do a lot better then this when using pencil and paper. I just gotta keep trying and not be lazy. Since I will admit I kinda said Screw it and tried to fill up the empty spaces.

Unhappy I'm starting to wonder if I made myself sound too arrogant.

Trying to figure out how to use this tool better and try other different mediums. You tube and some blogs been a bit help on how I can use this tablet a bit better. Once again I admit I rushed since I my job tends to pop at those least expected moments. I'm going to try to make a habit a posting 5 sketches per post.

It's going to be awhile before I get a chance to update.

I'm going back to pencil I kinda hate the tablet at the moment.

I'm really going to take a break from the tablet since I need to learn some

serious line control. I hope I can make the next 5 better.

I like the relaxed and speedy way you drew the skeletons and humans. It's great that you start out making studies and sketches, I think it's a good way to learn rather than just drawing from imagination. Also I don't think it's anything wrong with starting out with a tablet, I mean it's better for the environment, you don't have to waste time washing brushes and such, it's WAY cheaper in the long run, and you never get the feeling you "waste" material.

Unhappy What must I do to get better?

Kinda lost and don't feel a sense of progression. I'm just asking for some advice and what do I need to work on more towards improvement.

Hey, nice studies - you're really working hard. it's important to practice anatomy every day. also, draw many legs because they're the difficultest parts of the body - next to hands. ;D (in my opinion)
Keep on drawing! You'll notice how your knowledge increases with every stroke you do.

    Overdue update.

You know, after looking back at all these sketches and looking at the better sketchbooks in this forum. I feel like I never really improved. I'm not gonna lie my ego is hurt for not trying hard enough on my part.

Finally! You are improving man, slowly but surely. It doesn't come instant. Some things that might help you is taking notes on the stuff you draw from life. It will cause you to think more while drawing/studying and your sketchbooks will be that much more valuable on your flip throughs. I also suggest after doing a round of life drawing to draw something from imagination. It will help the session sink in and you can sometimes see your improvement instantly. I also would highly recommend this book, its where I got the osmosis information I told you about in skype. Also for the days you feel like you arent improving, just look at the first page of this thread =p. Keep at it mate!

    Wow, you've been working hard.

Your gesture and eye studies are looking good. However your figures and faces
are still looking flat and rudimentary. Not much else to do other than to keep at it.
I would suggest doing some mirror self portraits or getting a buddy to pose for you.

For a book, I'd recommend Ron Tiners Figure Drawing Without a Model.
