Not sure how active this thread is, but I've been hitting these fundamentals hard so it'd be nice to have a place to show some work off/get some pointers from people on how to get more realistic results.

In answer to your question MrFrenik its a very active post/ sticky and those are pretty good.
I do have a minor point about the cube though the angle of the shadow seems to be wrong, I say seems to be wrong as I cant quite decide if it is or isnt due to the strength of the light source! HELP ME SOMEONE!!

these are looking really great. Well i will not add anything useful here, i will just say that if you can apply the same quality in a complex form[imagination]in some imagination space then dont search it deeper, it will be awesome and when it will be time for new challenges they will appear to you.
I think i will agree with lightship and maybe we get this feeling because of the way that the lost/soft part of the cast shadow indicates something like a rounded form [ i mean there is that slight curve that goes up and maybe thats the thing]
