Thanks for taking the time to look at my work. The first is my WoW character (hey, gotta have some kind of addiction) the other two designs are my own originals.
So I keep switching back and forth between styles (being straight vector and line work +color) and since I consider my line work to be a bit strong (though if it is...that's for others more skilled than I to judge) I would like to use it.
However I have a problem with "muddy colors" and I'm just not sure how to approach it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm approaching shadows differently by placing cool colors with them instead of just a flat layer of black across the whole thing like I used to.
It escapes me however if my colors are bad because of there being too large a plane of color and the eye compensating, or if the colors I'm placing together are poor matches, or if just all the color is a poor match. Any help is greatly appreciated.
