Background: I dye and/or paint the fabric that I use. I work primarily in silk.
I have been exploring and experimenting with Shibori techniques for the past year and have built up a decent pallet of colors and textures in that time. Whatever I end up with--even if it seems ugly when done--ends up having a use. Some of the "ugly" pieces have proven to be perfect for applications later. So nothing gets thrown away.

It is kind of stylized and abstract--ish. But it was fun to do and I think I was successful in executing the image I had in my head.
