Wow it has been quite a while since I have been around here, 2 years I think. My art life has become pretty stagnant since I was last here, mainly due to laziness and lack of any motivation in my life at all. I really cannot believe the time I have wasted, but I have decided that I needed to get back doing what I love after all.
I am not sure of the current state around here, if it is the same as when I last posted here, members that are still around or have left, etc.
Anyway, hello to the old people who are still around as well as the new, hopefully you can all help me as you always have in the past. I am picking up where I left off, obviously very rusty but very determined to get it all back. Expect updates soon, which will be a ton of basic stuff for a while.. all of the fundamentals need to be re-drilled into my brain
I am burying my old sketchbook thread and starting all over with a fresh outlook. I am in a very strange place, because my mind is still full of the knowledge and skill that I attained years ago, but my hands feel like a beginner. It is making it even harder to not be super critical of myself, because I know enough to see that I have lost a lot of skill. Well, hopefully it will all come back fast.
