Keep it up man. I am battling portraits now. More specifically the head shape and size and proportions in general.

    FIGHT!!

EA Thanks i'm trying. I'm started to have less difficulty with portraits these days, honestly just try to draw from life and draw big so you have enough room to stick details in those eyes.

Here's a tattoo design i worked on for this girl but it turns out there are a bunch of things she wanted different so i have to redo it after making so many drafts. But its good, last time i flesh out a design to this extent without 100% approval of a thumbnail sketch or something.

    You live you learn..

Nice rendering. There's definitely signs of improvement.
You've got some cool sketches, too, like the reaper.. Keep those studies coming.

Hey the creature is looking pretty good! My word of advice is to work on your structure and construction, studying stuff like Bammes, Michael Hampton, KChen, Hogarth. Stan Prokopenko also posted some pretty great videos on Youtube if you haven't seen them already.
    Cheers!

Hey everyone been a while since i've updated, schools been crazayyyy

Heres one of my finished projects hopefully going to be exposed at school in an exhibition representing different ways to view the human body.
i chose to represent it as an astral omniscient being to remind people that we are all made of stars
Done on 11x17 illustration board with 005 and 001 microns!

laughing bun Thanks man i hope so! it dosn't feel that way sometimes :/

    qlotzan Will do captain!

Eternal Apprentice Hey buddy! School has really taken over my life, im there till 10:30 every night working on projects and by the time i get home i crash I see youve made some great progress as well! ill comment on your SB in a bit.

Hearthling Thank you kindly sir. I went through like 3 or 4 pens not because they ran out of ink but because the nip would just get shredded haha.

This is another one of the bigger projects i had this semester, we had to render a fashion element (in this case my knapsack) with a derwent ivory black watercolor pencil (which my teacher says is the purest black you can get in a pencil ) Took FOREVER because we had to go extremely slow and in layers to get the darkness in. maybe like 12 hours or so. Sorry for the shitty camera quality :/
