Thanks @NickyBeats! Yeah, I entered it, but there were lots of other way better ones! Matte painting is hard!
Here's some more random sketchbook stuff, practicing heads from imagination, pencil with some highlights painted on top in Photoshop.

Nice sketchbook. I really like your enviroments. That floating city boat thing is pretty sweet.
That pink blob think is really cute, too. Somehow.
Really like the recent posts, keep up the good work!![]()

Lightpunk, thanks for the comment on my SB a while back, took a while to get back to you.
Those caricatures at the top are excellent, shading and all. Just be careful about the placement of the eyes, they're quite far apart in almost all of them, and makes them look unintentionally like they have low IQ's
Keep going!!
Quick doodle...

Ok, little announcement time. About three years ago I decided I was sick of boring office jobs and wanted to be a concept artist, despite being in my mid-thirties and not having any art education. I just got my first full time job yesterday.
I would like to thank all the kind people on ConceptArt.org who have provided encouragement, criticism and inspiration during the last three years of hard work! There were lots of times when I felt it was a hopeless dream and often it was your kind words that kept me trying. Thank you all, and to those still on the journey, keep the faith people!
thats awesome, congratulations!![]()
Thanks @rumpelstiltzkin, am pretty happy about it!
Went back to this dude and added some details
And here's another guy, still needs some work

Wow, it's been over a year since I posted anything in this sketchbook! Been very busy with f/t job, hopefully be able to post some of that work at some point.
In the meantime, here is a character study. Also been learning Maya/3D modelling, first project - the render on the right is still unfinished
Hi matey nice to see you back again! I love the 3D work mate that is very nice indeed, though the lady in the dress seems to have seriously long legs, could just be me calculating it wrong as I have been at the red wine again!! lol
stay well mate and all the best to you.

Hey Lightpunk, some lovely looking work you have here. Good to see some 3d work involved too. Those top sketchbook studies are great, really nice feel to them that lend themselves nicely to animated character. Keep on trucking!
