Tart of Concep!

This is for a collaborative work with a friend on deviantart.com, hopefully it's good enough because I've never done anything like it.
If only both of us had tablets, things would be much easier!

Anyway -

I completed the Spartan Camp challenge numero 193, yay!
It was indeed fun.

Wow, what are you man? Some kind of a doctor,
or you work in some secret nuclear lab? Cause when
I saw you in that white coat, I got the instant phobia
that you will going to do some surgery on me sooner or later.
With you mp3 player on. Your work is interesting, definitely
not boring and I can tell you that you have that natural
inborn artistic spirit, nothing artificial there. Your drawing
style and illustrations are very fun to watch and if you
push this to another level it will be even greater for the audience.
For crits, I should say that you are rushing with most of your
drawings, ending with a bad proportions and looking very sketchy,
where there would me much more to do and more unused potential.
Try to think more before you draw. Plan in forth and design things.
Do one drawing more than only once. When you do some nice
concept and feel the potential within, try to work that one out
more and use different angles different poses.
Not to talk too much, I generally enjoyed going
through your drawings, hope you
will stick around and we could work together as a team.
That will be so great.

-> LtPlissken: Thank you! I work as a chemist at an environmental laboratory, it's really boring, I promise you.
What do you mean by pushing it to another level? More polishing? Better understood ideas? Because my friend told me that as an illustrator my ideas and drawings need to appeal to a larger crowd (that is to other people other than myself).

-> Aragah: Thank you, pencils are really my comfort zone. Been exploring a little watercolors as of lately. Wish me luck!

Ok, so I'm working on my portfolio and thinking of ideas. Been checking a few illustrators' blogs to get the idea of what they're doing - and I love what I see, because there is a lot of fun in their works.

So I'm sharpening my pencils, wetting my watercolors brushes, uncapping my markers, chiseling my charcoals, and buying a tablet!
Ideas and some realizations:

It's so obvious to me that you're comfortable with your skills and medium and subject when you make random scribbles that seem to just fall together actually turn into coherent images.

Decided it was the right time to watch "Pulp Fiction" for the first time, but first let's upload a tiny something from today-

I drew this after watching Pulp Fiction for the first time at 3am.
That movie was awesome, I think I understood for the first time what are true manly men are about.

One more, an awesome morning opener it was. The theme of killing the messenger is really interesting.

Two more, this is a very enjoyable chill out time with papers and pencils. Something strange happened to me after watching Pulp Fiction.

x-axis is time in months, y-axis is my affection towards the girl ranging from 0% to 'hallucinating'. There is a stepping down in caring for them girls, why? No idea.

Chad, I think I learned about real men from Pulp Fiction like nobody was ever able to teach me about, not even Fight Club. Yeah, learning stuff from movies, eh?

I saw Kill Bill vol.1 and 2, but Reservoir Dogs? Hmm, I haven't heard of it and I better check it out!

Really liking what I see...you have a very nice touch with your graphites. I see you like to do portraits, and caricatures/cartooning...I do as well. Ok, this one is called "Let go of the dead" - imho it's a serious psychological problem when a person just can't let go of the dead person and just carries him in his mental luggage all the time to everywhere he goes.

Very interesting back story on your "Let Go of the Dead" Piece...love the character design and as I've said your pencil work is really good. Are you going to work it up in color or some other medium?

Ztak: You've been following me for quite a while? Wow, you have no idea what a sentence like this does to a newbie like me. I really have to finish Andrew Loomis's book "Fun with a Pencil", because it's really good but I certainly need to continue working on my portfolio for a respectable art school here.

Jephyr X: My fellow pretty cool guy This specific piece? Probably not, although it seems like a good addon to my portfolio. But no, I don't think it's creative enough :/

Anyway, I met a really cool girl from Jerusalem yesterday and we had an awesome time eating Pasta at this restaurant. One of the waiters at the restaurant accidentally spilled our coffee, and I really felt bad for the guy. So I drew him a quick and nice sketch. I think that cheered him up, hopefully.
