I agree with lakai. VERY nice Pencils. man you guys make a pencil look gooooood. Interestingly enough your organic lines are way ahead of you mechanical.

You are a soft edge artist! I made up two categories of artist, soft edge and hard edge. People who gravitate to organic shapes are usually better at drawing people.
Do a lot of work and your work will be as good as your ambitions.

It's funny, when I tried to do this comic the first time around, the lettering seemed like such a chore. Now its one of my favourite parts of the process.

Ah, Clur! Finally had a chance to catch up with your updates! Wonderful stuff, all that experimenting with your line work and those comic pages, it's good to see Johnny-boy finally making an entrance. Weird too, since I've seen your characters develop for so long. It's making me feel weirdly nostalgic. You've come a far way, mate. You can only get better from here on.
My only crits, comic wise, would be perhaps your panel borders are slightly too thick, and the panels themselves slightly too far apart. It makes the images themselves appear a little clostraphobic. Other than that, the line work, way with colours, and the plot are really interesting to me. The drawings in them as well. Favourite panel has to be where the woman's trying to call up the ghost. Excellent stuff.

    The lettering's nice too!
Anyways, hope you'll be having yourself a good christmass, keep up the good work as always!

Firstly, your comic looks great and I'm going to need to go back through your sketchbook and read all of it. Secondly, about the borders: I don't think the thickness is the problem, but the color. The light yellow is distracting and pulls me out of the comic. Unlike Naidy, I sort of enjoy the claustrophobic feel of the borders because they make me feel like I'm in the story. I just wish they were darker. Also, it would help if the actual content inside the frames was bigger.
    Sweet lettering, too.

Naidy: Honestly, it feels a little weird to actually tell stories with him! My baby is growing up or something, haha. I do agree about the panel borders, the thickness is distracting. I tend to thick my lines in general don't have enough variety, I'll have to continue working on that.

My Christmas was wonderful, and I hope yours was too!

AJM: I'm glad you find my comic interesting! I've put it on my tumblr as a photoset, it's probably be less of a pain to read in that format. I was going for a certain amount of claustrophobia in the images, so I'm glad feel like it works.

It seems the panel borders aren't working in multiple ways though! You're right that they are too light in colour. I'm not sure what you mean about the actual images being bigger, though. Do you mean I should zoom in more, or have less detail, or ...? Anyway, thanks for the input! It's super helpful.

long time haven't visit - and you have so many new great things!
    still loving u'r characters.
The comic paneling is really unique and pretty, but all is a bit too bright and the writing is hard to understand
    (maybe it's because I don't read hand-writing).
    Keep going!! <:

Chompi'n: Hmm, I was afraid the dialogue would be hard to read. I'll keep working on it. Personally, I'm pretty happy with the colour scheme, but thank you for the critique! I'm glad people are responding to the comics.

Those two in the end are lovely!!, like goddess of some sort.
the one thing that bothers me in the portrait is that in the right. his eye-ball(the blue) is too small

Keep going like you do! {:

Yemi775: I'm glad you like it, thanks!
Naidy: Eyecandy? Really? Haha, I'm blushing.
Chompi'n: Derp, right you are. I seem to have a problem with wonky eyes, I'll keep that in mind.

I love the composition of the last image (the orange/yellow portrait) as well as the colors and textures. The vertical lines is a good idea and it made me want to stare at the picture more. Keep going!

I really should comment more often in your sketchbook, because your art truly is amazing, it's always nice to ses a new post from you! Just don't have anything useful to say most of the time.
Anyway, I really like the "at the gate" painting, that's a really cool and creative way of rendering and the colors are great! And the pencils of course, always lovely.

I wonder how you get such smooth and beautiful lines with a tablet, is it just practice? Or do you undo and repeat the strokes until you got them the way you want?

    Thanks for sharing your art

Lyraina: askdabhssahdb you are far too kind. Thank you dear!

Anyway, I think partly it's having the confidence to lay down a strong line the first time, same as in pencil drawing. But also there's nothing wrong with liberal application of the eraser tool. ;D

You have a lovely interesting and constant style.
I think I couldnt draw like this even if'd try. Some more happy looking characters would be a nice change though.
    Keep it up.

woah! You've done a lot since I last came by here. It's nice to see your work developing, seems to be getting looser which is good. Your choice of colours is really pleasing to the eye. I like the soft colours with a dash of vibrancy. Your anatomy is really improving too. Your characters are very believable.

    Cool stuff.
