some studies/sketches and a painting I just started, so everything is messy D:
Ludic: thaaaanks !
hey hay hey, here's some more stuff I did yesterday and today.
rhino study for texture, really enjoyed painting it, some sketches studies from reference, worked a bit more on that piece "one man job", and started a Mikhail Nesterov master study. \o/

Shit son, this rhino is awesome. Really nice use of texture! All round great sketchbook keep up the drawing.
Twig: thanks! will do.
Blauringkraken: thank you !
some new stuff
a longer still life, painting it was awesome, a girl from imagination (hard as hell D and more progress on "one man job", kinda lost with this one, don't like it that much anymore, and a very quick tank robot concept.
Beautiful work...your photo refs look very realistic at first glance. I like this style.

bish0p2004: thanks! glad you like my work
some new stuff, lots of girls
one page with 8 faces from ref, and then trying to make some from imagination, also testing new brushes, tip jana gave me a while back, it's really hard, they look like shit D:
some photostudy with color, progress on personal alien stuff (kinda inspired by dave Rapoza) and sketchbook page.
also lots of girls faces, some from imagination and some reffed, trying to learn a lot, half is wrong, and the other half is completely lost o/
super awesome stuff man!!
Very nice sketchbook Pkmike. However, your work seems to be missing an undelying structure, especially in those faces from imagination which come across a little flat and in some cases misaligned.
Anyway, it seems like you're making progress, keep up the good work!
Yefim: thanks, you're super awesome!, saw your work, and wow O:
Farvus: thanks! and I totally agree! haha already working to make them different, thanks again!
MacTire: thanks! yeah, I think it's because I don't really make lines on digital stuff, will spend more time on structures and early stages, mistakes really pop out now O:, awesome sketchbook by the way
some weird creatures and pencil sketches, been studying a lot of anatomy and structure, just lazy to scan it all, blergh, peace!
Pretty pencils at the top I'll keep my eye on this sketchbook because your making a lot of progress and frequent updates so it certainly looks promising, keep posting!

Great work here with the light and value, my only suggestion so far would be to make some more work in the anatomy field, because although your characters seem to have a flawless skin colors and values but their bodies and faces have some anatomy issues.
I've seen you make those hand and head studies, so just keep doing them and push forward!
Keep up with the great work you do.
Really incredible stuff in here! I love your imagination, some of those aliens are beautiful (in a wacky gross way ) You've got some lovely studies aswell, and I think your faces from imagination are improving already as well Well done, I'll be watching this sb!
Your color matching skills are phenomenal! Possibly the best i've ever seen, it's simply amazing
JoeS:thank you! will do
Fallenangel: thanks! i'm working on that right now, next updates will be related to anatomy and stuff, \o/ and thanks again for the critique
A-May: thanks! i'm working on that haha
asomatous: WOW o_o thanks!
here's some stuff from yesterday and today, will come back to colors soon, miss you :/
most of it is from imagination after copying books, not showing many copies cause they're just copies D:
Damn you have been busy since I was by last - lovely studies as before - esp. the rhino & apple.
& Then the teeth! lovely creatures.
(also like the girl with the big nose )

Hey mike, awesome stuff. Great studies. One thing I thought of right away on your first page was to play with color a bit more. I see it improving already, like on the rhino piece and your last illustration. Read up a bit on general color theory maybe, (James Gurneys's Color and Light is just amazing and gets very in depth) You wouldn't want that awesome rendering becoming stale from lack of color variation.
Just a suggestion! You could leave this advice and still be kicking major ass.
dan liimatta: thank you! your concepts are awesome!
SamC: thanks sam! haha
Woji: ooh thanks! gonna check that out!
