But to get there I seriously need to get my shit together, I should probably begin by introducing myself, I'm Ari, I'm 16 and live in Edinburgh, my goal atm is getting into Oxford's prestigious Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, which only accepts 20-25 new students a year, portfolio deadline is November, eek, so expect frantic scribbling and experimentation in a wide range of media, feedback will be much appreciated, and I hope (*touch wood*) to actually update this semi-regularly.

Here's todays effort, a nostradamusy self portrait (given that I neither have the snakebites, nor has my hair been dyed and cut yet) however it is my face, in my opinion recognisably so, tried to portray it from a lower down tilted angle, looks more like I've just got a massive chin, bleh, semi happy with the rendition of the masses and the light though. Also took around seven hours, which is ludicrous.

Christ I need to improve, especially in digitals, tablet still feels weird to work with.

Pencils/paints to come soon, no scanner though, aaah.

A really nice digital portrait. You're not the only one struggling with the tablet. I'm on it for years and it still feels strange. I'm looking forward to more sketches from you. Good luck with your art school application.

Thanks a lot, just feels weird not really being able to turn the tablet around for clean strokes cause there's nothing to get your bearings on.
