I was watching one of Bobby Chiu's videos admiring his magic, and wanted to try and practice a little of his way of coloring a sketch, but something is giving me trouble.
In the video he seems to be painting with both transfer and shape-dynamics activated at the same time, but somehow he manages to make thin lines that isn't very transparent, so he can make thin dark or light lines with a stroke or two.

Now if I set my settings to 50% opacity and 20% flow and activate both shape and dynamics I get almost transparent color when I try to draw thin lines like he does:
Whats the trick here?
I am using a fisherprice looking wacom from when dinosaurs roamed the earth, but that shouldn't affect it...?
