Tiling 8.5x11 prints...

Hey all, I feel dumb asking this, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. I have a Cannon i560 printer which I love. It isn't wide format so I have to stick to printing 8.5x11 all the time. What I'm wondering is how I can "tile" my prints so I can print half of a image on one sheet and the other half on another sheet... Thus creating a 11x17 print. I have the canon printing software as well as photoshop 7. I've done some messing around with it but I havn't gotten any good results
